cannon needs a touch

    currently, the cannon does about 1/2 of blast, pretty weak eh?

    youre pretty much NOT gonna use it on shooter

    For my idea, cannon will take from 5.6 (is it?) to 7!

    alongside with that, it gets -5 range

    but! 15% damage and 5 extra projectile speed!

    --mayeb just scrap the cannon speed and range idea

    Cannon doesn't need a buff. It may seem like its underused mid-late game, but that's because of how it works. Higher tier ships generally have more items to manage, and so cannot make full use of the cannon's main strength -- its fast reload.

    I didn't max out my std cannon yet.
    Let's see...
    I think that it should be improved:
    • 15% more dmg will give me around 150 more dmg, so i will be at 1k shot per 3.9 seconds *Too OP* (Imagine it with fire dmg perks)
    • I think his projectile should be more curved. (To make it useful against high wave).
    • Range is so good (I can reach 33 when i complete training my crew).
    • In general, I think that dmg/cooldown is so good. Maybe, we should improve crit chances. Std cannon should have higher crit chances then blast cannon and explosive cannon. Base crit chance should be at 5%.

    There's no need to improve dps.

    Yes,like u said,cannon crit chance must be higher than blast and explosive.5% is better I think so.

    I'm a Std Cannon user though.;););)

    Crew Talents + Reach cannon perk
    It can reach 33 range after training the rest of range talents + 12% extra range with a legendary reach cannon perk (my epic one gives me +10% range)

    I know abt the cannon range perk, but I thought cannon had only +5% range talent in bhurt, + 1 range in burnice? Is there any other?

    But reload is the distinguishing factor between normal cannon and the rest of the cannons. Decreasing reload and increasing damage will make it less unique and more like the other cannons.

    Standard Cannon is amazing already. Which other cannon gives you the speed and the curve you need in clutch moments?

    ST cannon is already very good in lower leagues ( double ST cannon is very good.)

    In higher leagues, a high level ST cannon is also good on ships with few weapons like fixer or speeder.

    Burn buffs, even more power.

    And because of their high hit rate ( what is it, 5 second recharge?), if the standard cannon is used for 3 minutes in a battle, and has a 5% crit chance, that makes 6 critical hits in a match. With a burn buff, and a 800 damage blast cannon ( let's just say 25% burn buff), that's 2000 damage in a single crit ( if crit is +100% damage. I forgot.) if crit is + 50%, still makes 1500 [ 800+(800/4)+ (800/2), unless that crit multiplies the burnt damage.. holy shit)

    EVEN MORE burn damage ( lololololll +36, still need that crit chance perk, +61% burn damage), and you have an overpowered crit. But even without crit.. ( hold on I need to use a calculator real quick), that's 1288 damage with burn. So yeah, stop underestimating the standard cannon.
    I'm tired of calculating shit, gonna go watch some TF2 videos

    as for my sarcasm, you *totally* meant that there should be standard torpedo (i actually made a post)

    std cannon is so good now. dmg/reload are so good.
    std cannon needs a higher base crit chance. (It should be higher than Blast cannon & explosive cannon)

    on the other hand, std cannon dmg is too much affected by enemy defense like carronade (36% for carronade / 18% for std cannon).
