Hey forum moderator

Like to delete all that Chinese post that invaded our forum with Chinese ads which most of us can't read?

 

I hope nothing serious happened to Rovio's staff or servers. The spam is covering the entire front page and it's all from the same account. What could be going on?

It's not a DDoS attack lol. If it was one, you wouldn't be able to access these forums.
It's just a spam-bot advertising a scam service. They do this on every gaming forum on the face of the planet. We just gotta wait till a moderator comes online and manually deletes them all. If you all report the post it also helps get rid of it quickly (some forums have an auto delete with enough spam reports)

 

the answer is simple. the are no decent MODs here to run the forum.

just like we cannot pin useful threads as sticky, there is no one here to remove this spam...

 

Explain what? That there happens to not be a staff member on at this exact point in time? They don't LIVE on here. They try to maintain a presence most of the time, but they can't live on here.
As for the reports, they obviously don't have an auto-delete feature.

Where is Rovio's money going that they don't have anyone to moderate the forum in the middle of the day? It's not like these appeared in the middle of the night, they began a little before 8 PM my time. Who's even at work?

 

Correction: They started at about 7:25 PM my time (Central). The first spam post was over an over ago.

 

Hey moderator give me power and I'll clean all this crap up! I'm based in Hawaii and I live n breathe battle bay. You need someone to watch the forums like a hawk, not just get on whenever they feel like it!

 

battle bay forum now feels like a box/ crate opening. so many useless things that need to be scrapped.

 

"on whenever they feel like it" is right. It's now been 2 hours, the posts are still up.

We're coming up on 5 hours, and the spam is still there...??? Are they going to stay up all night?

It's cool that we're trying to ignore them, but this is a pretty big deal. This isn't a chatroom, these are the official forums for the game. What does it say about Battle Bay if you go to the forum page and it's completely covered in spam? The message board can't get more members when the board doesn't exist. What gives?
