Sometimes the perk descriptions are a little vague. Apparently the new repair bolt perk has a chance of making a friendly target invulnerable for a time, but it doesn't say how long. Anyone have info regarding this?

Yep 3 seconds. A bit disappointed it's not 5 seconds like the other % chance perks (chill cannon, wildfire torp, railgun stun). Since it's so short I don't foresee it being too clutch in terms of saving someone on the brink of death. Using 1 bolt, the only other healing you can provide in that window is 0.5 seconds of a pulse (so basically nothing). Timing wise, a repair box can't even land before the invulnerability wears off.

Situations were it could be a lifesaver. 1) Running double repair bolt. While they are invulnerable from the first bolt, you have time to hit them with another bolt. 2) The invulnerability allows your teammate just enough time to survive and reach cover where you can give them additional healing.

I got that and I don't know if it worth it. You lose the health from bolt for a 1/4 chance of it happening and it might not be in a situation that's helpful. Other perks give you chances of something you're not depend on or a constant you can always depend on without sacrificing much.

3 sec is a joke that's the time of global cooldown so it is not effective at all

It's such a powerful effect that I think 3 seconds is plenty.

Invulnerability is a too powerful buff. I don't see it yet in battle but 3 secs seems enough. It can save a friend from death and give him a chance to use a item. It could be an explosive cannon to strike or a nitro to run. 5 secs would be too much.

Yeah from a 1v1 point of view.
I have already saved some who ran over a mine as it triggered just as they hit the mine field.
Saved defender (briefly) who charged headfirst into the enemy when they were hiding round a corner.
A shooter from a big torp that hit the wall beside.
Gave a fixer that’s in the open a chance to hide and heal up.
I like it. It’s a small drop in healing for a potential larger swing in the battle outcome.
They are completely immune to damage,I had a friendly in my team with 4 burning DoTs on them not doing anything for 3 seconds allowing two of them to time out.
Also technically made a triple bubble enforcer haha.

Big thanks for the info guys. As a fixer, I hope one day I'll come across it so I can try it out for myself.

The invulnerability seems identical to that when you respawn in TDM, meaning you can still be flared, firebombed and stunned when its active... that really should be changed.

3 secs is alot, faced some today, 3 secs is plenty for them to move to safer possition and heal back. We got a 3 v 2 and thanks to the perk it took alot longer just to take down that guy

Agreed; especially on the stunned-while-shielded bit.

But if we make that change to grant full invulnerability, I'd suggest that the TDM respawn-shield drop instantly if the player inside it fires a weapon or offensive yellow item such as a Frost or Stun. Overboost/Nitro can be allowed to return to the battle faster (and no one's going to Tesla Shield inside of another, stronger bubble).

The RNG-generated Repair Bolt bubble should still allow a shot out, because it's much more short-lived and was designed to save your bacon, not hurriedly get you to the front lines like the TDM one.
