Tesla Bolt has pretty much died off

    I don't see stun much at all anymore. After all the nerfs. In fact, only 3 players in the top 50 are using Tesla Bolt as I am posting this. The rest have switched to nitro.

    So I hope the devs will take this event perk idea to consideration:

    "Contagious" Stun duration -

    Like the name hints, using this perk gives your Tesla Bolt shot a chance to bounce from 1 player to the nearest other player resulting in you stunning 2 players at once. (There will be a range limit the 2nd player has to be from who you are stunning)

    Uncommon - 10% chance to double stun / +3% stun duration

    Rare - 15% chance to double stun / +5% duration

    Epic - 20% chance to double stun / +8% duration

    Legendary - 25% chance to double stun / +8% duration

    It's not dead, it's just not used.
    I still use stun bolt and it helps me climb to about 5200 every damn time.

    Tesla Bolt should be used to blow a field mine. It would revive the usage of the Tesla Bolt specially lately with the mine infestation in the Death Matchs.

    Stun is pretty underpowered already, but so are fixers. I don't think that that's the best idea. Maybe turn the removal of stun into a "chance"

    No no, Rovio still think Fixer are overpowered, let’s nerf their pulse on themselves by another 50% and give them zero stars and tokens after each match.

    Stun is not underpowered; in fact I would say it is quite balanced now (for my range that is). 10+ seconds of not being able to do anything is no big deal! Previously it seemed like 80% of yellow ships have stun, but now stun is just another yellow item. It may be underpowered in early game though, where the cooldown is too much compared to the duration stunned. As for end game idk; are there really that many fixers with repair bolts conveniently positioned to instantaneously unstun you from that rogue speeder? If there are... then too bad I guess; go and find a tesla shield/nitro/overboost to replace it :p

    I don't think it's underpowered. But I don't see a good enough reason to use stun instead of a nitro or tesla shield. I would personally use it if it had more to offer but I am not asking for a stats boost or buff. Just this simple feature that might make it a little more fun

    It's probably just a matter of preference... The contagious stun perks are interesting, but may be a bit op; 2nd target's stun should be a percentage (maybe half?) of the original target's stun.

    Well, not many people will be able to get it. The struggles of getting a legendary or epic perk you want.. xD. But even once you do get it. It will only be 10-25% chance to stun. I have a 20% chance to stun perk on my railgun which hardly ever stuns enemies. Plus, once your stun does it's special effect or crit if you'd like to call it that, there might not even be a 2nd player next to him for the effect to work. So I, personally, don't think it would be OP. I think it could convince some players to use it though, me being one of them

    I know how to hunt those duct tape fixers lol. I count down their CDs while duelling them nowadays

    Nah! That's my personal 1 speeder x 1 fixer drill:
    Fixer 7000hp
    metallics-roberts-duct-tape-50-555-64_1000.jpg
    Flare gun (-30% of healing for 5s and 1500 damage points)
    Explosive cannon (-2200hp)
    Tesla bolt (0 healing until the end of my explosive cannon cooldown)
    Repeat
    Fixer

    Selfish fixer is only good against shooters and (some) defenders on 1x1... The good thing is the game is 5x5 :D

    The funny thing is, the repair bolt has a lower cooldown than the stun bolt.
    I think the best thing to do is the repair bolt to reduce stun timer by 1/2 in every shot.

    I using tesla bolt sometimes it is not powerful like old days but it still pretty useful and balanced. I agree repair bolt shouldn't remove stun or if your stun removed by a repair bolt then reduce the half of cooldown of your bolt.

    Tesla Bolt has always been one of my favourite items. Not because it was powerful (I have used my one since it was <5 seconds), just because I think it adds a really interesting strategic aspect to the game, beyond merely ‘dealing damage’.

    I kept going with it for as long as I could, but even I have now abandoned it, and switched all my training away.

    The item sucks. It’s carrying far too many nerfs. The cooldown is far to high for anything below t5 Epic, and Tesla Resistance needs to be removed, or reduced to be shorter than the new cooldown.

    It’s also far too easy to remove, either by breaking or with repair bolt, to justify such a long cooldown.

    If they’re not going to buff it, then they should redesign it to make it more useful.

    I probably add another nerf to TB. Make defense points resistance too. For every defense point, make it 1% less. For example, a defender with 50 defense point can only be stun for half of the TB duration. This help shooters and defense against TB. I like the Telsa Resistance as it's a well deserve nerf. Now bring TB cool down back to where it was. Help with TS counter.
