Suggestion for Sniper Cannon

Decrease base damage or crit chance
Increase damage or crit chance based on how far the projectile has travelled.

This rewards long distance shots (like a sniper rifle is supposed to be used) while nerfing the cannon close up.

 

Was this already suggested?

 

This would basically make it a Railgun with low damage.

There is a good chance your question has been asked and your concern has been answered already. Before creating a new post, take a moment to search the forums for your topic. Opening multiple threads spreads relevant info all over the place, making it more difficult for future battlers to find it, and for current battlers to keep track of the conversation.

 

Deal with getting shot by sniper...just cook yourself a sniper and that is...is it that hard to do it?

I dont really know about whats going on with snipers, I just feel they are a boring concept- long range cannon that uses gimmicky rng to be useful. I feel like they should make it more actual "sniper"

 

Which would be fair, since it’s 1 Slot Point, and half the cooldown.

Sniper desperately needs a nerf. It’s ridiculous how many people are running two of them, and how every game is pretty much decided by Snipers before it is even played.

I’m so fed up of having multiple Shooters, pumping shot after shot into my poor Speeder, from so far away that I can’t even make out their ship; while I’m having to chug along at an easy to hit 1.6 waiting on GCDs.

Such a broken weapon.

 

If you're a speeder and you're getting hit from a range so far away you can't make out their ships, you're doing something wrong, or it the people led their shots, so they actually have to do something to hit you, not just click and 1k damage.

 

I think deleting it is much easier.

 

If I am doing something wrong, then even after 6k games, I can’t figure out what the hell it is. I’m always moving, OB+Nitroing whenever I can, using cover, using waves. But it’s still not enough. Sniper is just OP, and it’s everywhere.

 

Deleting it will cause much more problems than it solves.
