I haven't seen any post regarding this, forgive me if it has and delete this thread.
Okay, so Death Match Mode matchmaking is definitely gear score based.
So once the 10 ships have been picked for battle, what is the secondary factor for basing who goes on each team?
I have seen evidence that team selections are based on infamy.
Currently I play at 3100 infamy with MK5 speeder, with a top gear score of 7200(with my best weapons, EC and BC).
So in death mode, most of my opponents are MK5's ranging from 1000 to 2500 infamy.
After the battle results are posted I click on each profile to see the infamy of the players on my team, versus the enemy team.
In almost every battle my 3100 infamy is matched with 4 other players ranged from 1000 to 2000 infamy. And the other team is typically between 1800 and 2500 infamy.
This concludes me to believe TEAMS within each battle are matched so that AVERAGE infamy is about even between each team.
If this just happened in one or two death matches, I'd say it was coincidence, but this is a trend within all my battles.
After amassing a 60% loss ratio in death match I was curious why my teams sucked so bad(because naturally I don't suck....
)
Not really complaining, because I am still getting one or two stars in my losses, but just curious if anyone else sees this trend?
