I am really conflicted over whether I should main speeder or healer
I love the speeder because of it's speed and phenomenal yellow item usage
I love the healer because it can heal and I love bieng of use to others
I don't like the fact that speeder die easily and how it's over used
I don't like the fact that healer has almost no yellow items and how it gives bad score since game bases everything on damage and kills
Both are mark two. Please help I haven't been able to enjoy the game since I played them both please. Help. Me.

I haven't played the Speeder, so I can't speak to it's pros or cons. I have a MK3 Fixer that I had trouble with until I lucked out and got an Epic Carronade. So...I have the gun, overboost, healing pulse, duct tape and a standard shield. All are high level.

My tactic is to heal my friends to start with, but at some point I just break away...zip around the unfriends...healing only myself...and blasting them. I generally cause them to freak out and target me which takes the heat off my friends and lets them do some real damage. I generally die, but not before I manage to kill at least one unfriend and my friends mop up. It's been very effective.

btw, the battle stats don't reflect heals, but the rewards (battle stars, gold, sugar, pearls) do.

    Here is my Fixer:

Well, the way I see the Fixer's role, it's primarily to heal. That means sticking with your team and popping heals as much as you can. Damage is secondary. So any kind of close to medium range weapon is useful in case an enemy comes close.

guy... you posted 3 threads about the same thing. twice in general and once here. we can see it, so stop spamming the forums.

on topic. use whatev you feel comfortable with. if you don't want to die fast, go with fixer or defender.

Please replace your duct tape with a heal box. Duct tape can never be used on others, but you can use boxes on yourself. Duct tape is very much an item that should be instantly scrapped.

I understand what you are saying. I have used the heal box, but I've found that...with my run-and-gun style...duct tape is more assured to heal me when I need it. If I'm harassing the enemy I don't want to have to chase my boxes to get them. Plus, it's not always easy for my team to get at the boxes either.

I guess it's just a matter of preference.

But your outgoing healing capacity is heavily impacted. Run and gun should be a last resort for a fixer. Currently your shooters, defenders etc are dieing because you cannot keep them alive with just pulse.

You will come to love the heal box.

Also heal box heals more in total over the time period.

Let's take a rare duct tape and a rare heal box.

The box does instant 143 with a 11.1 sec cd (based on feelix lvl)
The tape will do 19 over 10sec with a 20sec cd.

You will get 2 uses of box compared against 1 use of tape, and will heal a total of 286 compared to 190.

This isn't even factoring in the usefulness of healing others!

    As I said...it's a matter of preference.

Believe me, I've turned the tide of battle numerous times by moving away from my team...blasting into a bunch of enemy...healing MYSELF as I go. It throws them into disarray...they focus on me...and my team tears them up. It works.

    Sometimes tactics trump numbers.

You can do exactly the same box healing, I do this often myself, only it's safer as you gain more health back over shorter time, really duct tape is a bad item. It should be a blue spot not a green.

No...not "exactly the same". The difference is duct tape heals me while I'm moving where ever I want to move. The box requires me to move TO the box after I deploy it. And guess what...the enemy can see where I deploy it and the know exactly where I'm going.

    Again...personal preference.

Yup, screw that duct tape! Boxes even at uncommon is better than epic duct tape. 3xlvl20 boxes heal 600hp for you and speeders. That is more than duct tape does 90% of the time

The enemy can already see where you are going, and fixers aren't agile enough to change direction quickly enough. Your theory that heal boxes make you a target is flawed. Honestly as a fellow fixer this is advise that will help push your progress.

Also turbo > shield, until you can run both at mk4.

    My fixer is agile.

Look...I'm not going to argue. You play the game your way...I'll play it mine.
