    My one complaint about deathmatch:

    The boost/shield you get at the beginning should go away as soon as you fire a shot. I think it's a bit much for someone to charge the line and light up the enemy while not being able to be touched. The shield is great for protecting them from spawn campers and helping them to either get back into the fight and/or run away from the spawn campers, but to be able to dish out a whole bunch of damage without even being able to be touched is a bit much.

    Two other minor suggestions that aren't as big of a sticking point for me:

    One, kill cam.

    Two, mix up the respawn points, that way if someone does want to camp at the enemy spawn, there's no guarantee the enemy will be at that one spot when he comes back.

    Otherwise, love the new update.

    About Deathmatch:
    Fixer v. No fixer team is too unbalanced. It's too different as in normal matches sibnce you can't just sacrifice to kill the fixer since it will respawn... The fixer team just needs to keep defensive in their spawn zxone and they will win no matter what. So for this kind of matches Fixer balance is needed.

    PS: I HAVEN'T PLAYED ANY SINGLE MATCH IN THE NEW MAP :eek::(:(

    Awww come on! 5 kills and zero stars? That’s not right :(

    It’s stupid having the rewards based on damage. Might as well just keep suiciding to get a guaranteed 1 star loss, as try to win a 1 star victory.

    Edit: yep, no point playing to win, or taking kill shots. You get more damage and better rewards by just charging forward and focusing on healthy ships.

    I'd prefer a pure infamy matchmaking but I think they made this way because of the "matchmaking sucks!" whiners :p

    I hope it's not a bug! It makes the ranked mode way better since we can use our weak items for quests on the event and use the best stuff we have on the ranked mode.

    Players can game the system either way. Even in standard games, I see lots of Shooters focusing on Defenders and floaters, while the rest of thier team dies. And then they walk away with the best rewards. I’d rather have people ‘stealing’ my kills than being non-players trying to get thier damage up.

    Kills matter, especially the first kill. In this game mode they matter even more.

    yeah , but this event will end and another one will star , who knows what the next event will be ? devs do , but they can't make a matchmaking for each event , because not all event require the same things

    I’m not sure how easy/hard it is for them to change rewards for specific events. If it’s hard, then that is something they should probably make easier going forward, as other events may need quick tweaks.

    However, events aside, the undervaluing of kills is also a problem with the regular game.

    It never really bothered me before, because Star Crates are trash. But now that there are legendary perks at stake, I don’t really want to be wasting my time getting half the kills, for zero rewards.

    Nice, loving the respawning in team deathmatch. Although I was a little hopeful the next major update would deal with the floaters, already been in 3 games of team death match with floaters today, and a few days ago was in a game with 2 on my team.

    Win with 5 kills = 1 star.

    It really undermines the game when damage is more important than winning.
