My theory is that this is during The Maze Runner series.
So basically, there was a solar flare which melted glaciers and cause water level to rise and most people died. Battle Bay was another experiment zone created by WICKED to see what went on in the immunes brains when they were put into a situation like this to find the cure for the flare. This would also explain the high-tech stuff they have.

 

So there are "Beware the giants" graffiti bespeckled around this game.... maybe there are some boss battles in the future update

There are zombie humans in giant warships and the little angry birds in our ships have to fight them together. That would be dope!

 

That would be cool, but I don't think Rovio has rights to that series

So, people finally did it. Decades of over-consumption, greed, and pointless wars came back and bit humans in the butt.

Everything went down just as the scientists had predicted for decades: The globe warmed, the sea levels started to rise rapidly, and humans lost the land they inhabited. So they fight each other even more than in the past time. But they have to use all the trash they can get as only source for their war boats. That's why you have to dress warmly and steer the tire under your butt bravely - but sensibly - to be able persisting the battle together with your squad.
