    Hi All,

Just wondering if others can hold you back. I lost several battles today, I am not unique. But in almost all battles I do the most damage or come second. I see a lot of mk5 and mk6 players in my battles who don't even do 200 damage. That is not even 1 shot full on! How come, are they cheaters are they that bad?

But I believe these can hold you back. I know everyone has this problem (most of us at least), but this is the hardest part of this game. You are trying the best you can, are competitive and a lot just don't seem to care.

So, how to break the change? I do the most damage, almost impossible to do more, so I don't lose because i don't give it my all, but am stuck anyhow.

    Regards,
    Flint

In some games, you will lose no matter what you can do. Just like in some games you will win even if you AFK.
Your value is not determined in one specific game.
Infamy is representative of your average contribution. If you continuously average better than what is expected of your infamy number, you will win more games on average and your infamy will rise. If you are stuck, it means you are just not good enough gear wise / skill wise, sadly.

Thanks for your reply. So many people complain about the team mates they get and truthfully, some team mates do a horrible job and there are cheaters, who want to lower their Infamy etc. But in the end, we all have this problem. And of course we ourselves mess up from time to time ourselves. Turn a coiner and be surprised by an epic T4 Big Torpedo or 5 Unfriends which are waiting for you like hungry Piranhas.

Some times a battle is over in seconds and you wonder, what just happened. But it works the other way around too. I have no idea how that is that some battles are over so quickly, just bad luck?

Anyway, maybe we should pay more attention to ourselves, than others. We have no say in how they play, only ourselves. Although I think things would be very different if we always played with fixed teams.

Btw the battle I showed above is not one I have everyday, just an example of how one can play the best battle ever, but still lose.

Can your teammates hold you back? Absolutely. Can you hold back your teammates? Of course. It all changes from battle to battle. Everyone has games where they’re the superstar, and other games where they’re a chump.

To delve deeper, I’ve watched the replay. You played very well. Some of your teammates however were very questionable. A couple took a long time to start the battle. The one that started straight away went straight to the capture site by himself and got slaughtered (almost as if he was fed up by everyone else not moving and wanted to get on to the next game). Once the rest of your team started playing, they did well, and were aggressive. But you were never going to recover from the slow start of some and the suiciding of the other.

For your team to have won in a no fixer vs fixer situation, you would have needed them to all have been ready to advance at the same time. You would have needed to be aggressive and tried to end the game quickly to overcome the healing of the fixer.

Good luck with your future battles. :)

Thank you :)! It was one of my better battles, wish I had more of them.

That is often a problem, suïciders and people who start playing after 30 seconds up to 2 minutes. It is a recipe for a loss often. When I see a Friend not moving at the start, I should him or her a few times. Some start playing, but others do not. I have lost battles with a floater or a slow starter many times, often it was down to one shot. If they just shot once, we would have won. Because at the end the last one standing Unfriend and I had less than 500 HP and the Unfriend won with just 100 or 200 HP.

And lots of people ignore the Fixers and start shooting the Shooters next to the Fixer, that puzzles me too.

This is the way I operate when I play Battle Bay. If none of my guildmates or friends are online (or just not responding) I play three or four matches, everytime I win, I add someone from my team as a friend. Then I fleet up with them, and we climb infamy together. I highly recommend this strategy!
