    It's an overflow cap trick, get your gold or sugar to near max, then collect a quest reward;)

    Max your gold out, compete a quest with a gold reward, buy a common weapon for 5,000, now claim the gold reward.

    To do it with sugar just upgrade the common weapon after maxing sugar then claim the sugar reward

    I have no idea how you farmed that much! I tried... bought every rare/epic item from the store, didn't upgrade a single boat, and am only sitting on 1M gold. It didn't help losing almost every match for the past 24 hours... start of the new season has been brutal.

    I cleaned up too. I got rid of all the extra infamy I had sitting around. Made sure I did that part well enough that I didn’t have to worrry about accumulating any more sugar or gold for the entire weekend.
