How are the tubro perks being calculated?

Hello Everyone,.

A while ago I noticed that the turbo perks are not giving the complete percentages when fitted them on my turbo.

I have an epic turbo at level 10, which should have a 36,4% turbo effect without any perks fitted. I have 1 epic perk of 20% and 1 uncommon of 10%, so in total I should have a 30% turbo boost.

So, the sum would be 36,4 + 30 % = 36,4 + 10,94 = 47,34 in total.

But my turbo with the 30% perks does just give 41,4% turbo only. So, I am right in saying I am missing over 6%

And also when you train Swift at the very first level it says boosts the turbo effect by 20%, so that should be added to it also? If so, then there is missing even more.

Can someone shed some light on this issue? Am I wrong or right?

Tap the "%XX" (speed of you turbo). It will show your turbo base speed.

The formula works like this:
41.4 (Final speed bonus)
30% bonus with perks
20% talent bonus
so, 41.4 / 1.50 = 27.6
27.6 = 0.2 (Base speed)
27.6 * 0.2 = 5.52% speed bonus from swift talent
27.6 * 0.2 = 5.52% speed bonus each epic perk
27.6 * 0.1 = 2.76% speed bonus each uncommon perk
27.6%+5.52%+5.52%+2.76%=41.4%
Base + talent + epic perk + uncommon perk

To be short. You speed is right.

Where does the "1.50" multiplier come from in the 4th line of the calculation?

 

I am trying to figure out a formula to determine if I can max out the speed of a particular ship with a single Turbo.

i.e. can you get a single Epic Turbo to get a Defender (max speed 1.38) to hit max speed with only one Epic Turbo, but the math above isn't making any sense to me.

If you look in the store, a brand new Rare Turbo and a brand new Epic Turbo:

speed +19.2%
base: 0.2
Crew bonus 0 + 20%
Item & Perk bonus 0 + 0%
total: 0.2

Epic
speed +27.6%
base: 0.2
Crew bonus 0 + 20%
Item & Perk bonus 0 + 0%
total: 0.3

WTF???

What does base mean? what does total mean?

 

Base = without crew training and perks
Total = total

With epic perks and the right training, you can do that with a rare level 50 turbo

 

that 1.5 comes from
Crew bonus 20%
Epic perk bonus 20%
uncommon perk bonus %10
Total bonus %50 =>1.5

With T5R and epic perks you can max out speed on any boat. I still have 10% speed boost talent on swift.
