Sorry, but stating a truth is not insulting. If you didn’t want our advice, you shouldn’t have post this thread. Lil_Torta is a skilled enfo player, she wouldn’t slight you just because.

I gotta tell you... that sounds more like speeder-think.

I felt exactly like you and I drove a shooter armed to match. At one point I had dual turbos rather than armor. Moving to speeder was the best decision of my Battle Bay career (and I may yet move to enfo). The kind of aggression you're talking about doesn't belong in a red boat. They are simply too slow and ungainly to survive. I, on the other hand, can go out and shoot people all by myself. I still have to do it very carefully but I have the speed to evade and/or flee.

Warning... speeders are very sensitive to player skill. If you decide to give it a try, expect to suck for quite a while as you learn when and where you can attack and when you must flee.

No, you don't need double turbo's for speeder. That was a hack I used to make my shooter more survivable down at the 700-1100 infamy range. The speeder is speedy all by itself and has plenty of options to add even more speed. Most use a single turbo on it. Most use an overboost. In early days you'll want nitro although bolt isn't a bad option. The only real question is weapons and frankly, speeders do well with most weapons because you can put your boat where you need it to be to make your shot. You could go with your current loadout if you want.

 

This is a really good point. Defender won't work with this play style, in fact just today I watched a 12k Defender go down in about 10 seconds doing this. Speeder will allow you to separate and be aggressive.
