Performance Based Infamy

Can we get a Score displayed based on personal performance? Kind of like infamy but not based on wins and loses. Infamy is cool and all but I don’t feel like it represents how good or bad a player really is.

 

This is so funny because that's what infamy is supposed to represent in the first place!

 

Yeah but it doesn’t . You can be a good player and still lose if you keep getting mediocre teammates

Well if I’m usually the last man standing and I have the most damage and we lose. Who am I suppose to blame ?

 

Well, if your the last man standing, where did your team go? They either all suicided(highly unlikely) or they were playing aggressively(that's more like it).
You could play more aggressively with your team(which would increase your chance of winning), or you can continue lobbing your mortars, spamming your torps and snipers, and healing with your bandage at the back of the team so you can say you did the most damage because everyone on your team, except you, already died.

 

I play aggressive but I also play smart . And I don’t even have a bandage . You don’t even know my load out or ship . But you just tried to describe my play style based off nothing lol

 

So you are telling me that your team keeps on suiciding.

We've all had our fair share of mistakes in our gameplay, but there is without a doubt a massive lack of teamwork in this game. It's not a stretch to say the majority of players don't even pay attention to battle commands. It's not so much that players aren't trying or that they're suiciding, it's that their idea of getting into position often does not include being anywhere near a single teammate.

Anyway, we're getting off topic a bit. If you want to gauge a player's skill without factoring in their strength, play with them and see what their style is like.

 

Little late buuuut:

There's no I in Team

 

Having the highest damage and be the last man standing does not necessarily mean that you were the best on your team.

 

Not even an 'I' in 'Battle Bay'.

 

Exactly. Played speeder for quest today, and honestly I suck at speeder.
But one battle (2v2 fixers) I did usual speeder stuff (distraction), and I managed to get attention of 4! of enemy's team's players, which made the rest of my team go 4v1 with their 5th player (Enforcer). I even managed to get back to help them to finish him off.
What I want to say, even though I did the least damage compared to our 2 shooters, I think it was me who decided the match, not the shooters who got easy kill.

 

But if my team's winning, I spell team with a "I"

 

Obviously there is no I in team that’s the whole point I was trying to make . You can’t win unless the whole team works together . And just because you constantly lose doesn’t mean you’re a bad player either .

 

Most of the time it does . If you’re not contributing to damage or healing, there is not many more ways to be useful

 

And plus I’m not saying it’s always the other players fault. I mess up sometimes too. The whole point of this thread was to point out that infamy doesn’t necessary translate what kind of player you are .
