New Perk Idea: Speed Perk that can be fit onto any Red/Yellow/Green/Blue item

I've been thinking about this for a while.
We all know the reality that almost every ship NEEDS to have a Turbo equipped in a blue spot, or else you can never outrun a mortar.
How about creating a new Speed Perk that increases the base speed of the ship the item is fitted onto.
Uncommon: 2% increase
Rare: 3.5% increase
Epic: 5% increase
So if somebody wanted to fit 10 uncommon perks onto their weapons, they could achieve 20% more speed on their ship without having to use a turbo. This obviously will cost players the improved Damage/Cooldown/Shieldpoints that their normal perks provide, but it would allow an extra BLUE slot to be freed up for actually using a Rudder or Gear Lube or Bandage and just add to more of the strategy behind building your ship.
What do you think Devs? We are all clamoring for a new weapon/perk/ship/map. The masses need to be feed before we start throwing the rotten foods at the castle gates.

It helps to make a variety set up.
I hate the current fkin steady set up. Not fun.
