Firebomb army thanks !

    Thank you for this update, each game there is at least 3 firebomb. Thanks Rovio you favor the weapons and the gameplay of noob.

    How did the last update increased the number of fire bomb users? Just curious.

    Because the fix is a joke and they still haven't fixed the outer ring mechanism. So instead of landing for 25s X 10 or 25s x 20 or something, it lands for 18s x full damage and that's outside the ring.
    Near the end of the ring is guaranteed 19-20 second of full damage. Compare this to 25 seconds of reduced damage and simple maths will give you your answer.

    The fix not a joke, i tried using two fire bombs.... It is trash now! I prefer my Lrm over firebomb with wasting 1 slot

    I guess that when they fix this, it'll be fine. I've taken some 4s, 5s duration on 3000 infamy, I'm sure perks and training can make it longer but I guess it won't be 19-20 seconds on the edge.

    Have to give a good amount of HP to make firebomb a good weapon.. 600-700HP at least

    It depends on the wave everytime but unlike mortars, firebomb duration goes up significantly compared to 100 to 200 extra mortar damage. I've taken multiple 10-15 second OUTSIDE the ring because wave happened to be tipping towards my boat. I wanted to make a thread about it but didn't do it because it's easy to dismiss it using good old lag excuse. Add some latency, bandwidth, ping, server, packet, bunch off buzz words to back it up and our gullible af community drinks the Kool aid.

    I guess it was @PastelPiku who suggested some kind of alteration of the prediction of the landing area. It definitely seems to be a great idea and my guess is that it'd solve the problem :D

    For a lv43 mark 6 shooter a 25 sec firebomb is going to reduce hp from 9600 to 8000 or so and reduce defense by 5 points. Those shooter are terrible with short distance fight. If you are using a yellow ship and you don’t know how to avoid motar and get close to a shooter. That’s a problem. After 2.8 update, many shooter trashed firebomb and switch to close fight build. Are u going to complain about a shooter with grenade and two ex connon and can deliver 8000 damage within 10 sec close range? The only reason some shooters may think about firebomb is because firebomb can really hurt Tesla Shield now. While, the flare gun actually hurt even more on the Tesla shield.

    Firebomb prediction area has always been a joke it never gave a fk about ship positioning anyway. Now it's even worse because you take full damage for whatever rng number of seconds it pulls out some broken as system.

    Here you go. 12 second burn outside the ring from a regular rare firebomb without duration perks. make it 16.5 with 3 epic perks and 18 from a tier 4 epic with 4 epic perks.
