Simple question, why am I always paired with idiots? Lost 9 battles in a row just because these idiots don't know where to aim their goddamn turrets. I was on 1000 infamy now I'm down to 700 because this shitty matchmaking algorithm. I always ended up doing all the hardworks. My last battle shows how hard it is to fight alone, thankfully there's two fixer that obeys my commands. Screenshot_20170603-215222.png Screenshot_20170603-210745.png

Noop! You're at the 1000 Points "Gap"! No idea why, but this behaviour is obviously normal to the game. I'am now on round 2000 Points in my infamy and rushing up to max 2300 and then going down back to 1900. I remember I observe this "Gap" also around 1000, then again at 1200, 1600, at 1800 I stuck for a while. Don't be sad about this - continue playing and you will move up in your infamy!
    See you in the Bay!

The matchmaking algorithm doesn't hate you. If there are a lot of idiots at your level then it's equally likely that the other team will be idiots too. If you are better than the average player at your level you will win more than 50% of your games in the long run, but it's still possible to lose 10 matches in a row (but quite unlucky)

@OP I feel ya, but I was at nearly 1200 infamy, and dropped to 500ish. -_-

I think I got lucky on my way up, with my allies, honestly.

Some things I've found helped to start turning fights in my favor again:

force the group to stick together. At this level, nobody plays a speeder well.
avoid taking damage except for very good reason. This doesn't mean pus**ing around, I mean that you don't recklessly dive in.
Speaking of diving in, I've noticed that getting your allies grouped up, and charging the opponents, works quite often. Every time its actually happened, our (low elo) opponents were completely unprepared, and lost a ship or two quickly.

most importantly, focus on winning the BIGGEST battle, not the easiest one. If your team has a 3v3 and a 1v2, who do you help? the 3v3 (unless the 1v2 is much, much closer). The reason being that if you win the "3v3" - now a 4v3, you have most of 4 ships to attack the remaining 2 enemies. Oh, and you have a higher chance of success of it, too.
