Repair Box - Healing Residue

    Repair Box is imo the weakest healing item that there is available by far and I think there's potential to give it a niche to bring in some more interest. The pulse can potentially heal upto 5 ships at once which is brilliant. The bolt can heal huge amounts at great range and when talented can remove slow and stun. The box on the other hand doesn't really do anything but neglible heals and the odd crit which still can't compete (15% crit chance max is woeful).

    What I propose is a talent:
    Healing Residue - The idea is when a repair box is picked up, not only will it heal as per the tooltip, it will apply a residue that will increase healing received by 20% for 15 seconds.

    I believe this is also necessary when you consider some of the following:
    • Fire DoTs grant a boost to damage.
    • Frost grants a damage boost for mortars.
    • Flare gun reduces healing done by 30% and stacks.
    • Frost blaster can reduce healing by 50%.
    • Tesla Bolt can block all healing done for its duration.
    With the above in mind, there are 5 examples of how a fixer faces more adversity in every match. This is a perfect opportunity to show fixers some love and breath a bit of life into the box.

    Will give it a go! I don't know the full ins and outs of the workings for calculating healing so I could be off or completely wrong! The below is based on max T5 Epics with all +healing % talents selected & Epic Repairing Boost Perks. I believe I had the max base values roughly right as well for the epics as though they are untalented.

    Repair Box Launcher - Max 578 +70% Boost (40% Talent + 30% Perks) - Grand total of 983

    Healing Pulse - Max 66 +100% Boost (70% Talent + 30% Perks) - Total of 112. I believe this heals for 8 pulses so a total of 896. If you factor this in across 4 at 100% & yourself at 50% this should then be a potential of 4032.

    Repair Bolt - Max 898 +70% Boost (40% Talent + 30% Perks) - Grand total of 1549.

    If I've got it right, this is what you'd be looking at healing wise from the individual items (not inc. the +/-10%). It looks to be quite a lot but most weapons can outdo that quite easily. So from that, you can see the healing pulse is way ahead but you rarely get to see that potential. The repair bolt is next healing 63% more than the box and can remove slow/stun effects. The 15% crit chance seen from the boxes is probably too small to take any real note.

    It's just a matter of factoring in the healing debuffs from the Flare Gun and Frost Blast which is your -30% & -50% respectively to your totals. As for the damage increases - beats me where to start with that stuff!
