Hello, Battle Bay! Just wanted to spark up some discussion about the free cam feature! This is not a duplicate of @Captain Gilligan or @Schrödinger threads, I would like to talk about the feature's future here.

It's not confirmed that this will be officially added to the game, but we do know it works... for most of us. Let's give the devs some ideas about what we would like to see in this as an official feature so they can check them out if/when they decide to introduce free cam to replays!

P.S. This is not a thread to try to rush or pressure the dev crew into releasing free cam. Sharing ideas only!

It works, but it's pretty obvious that it's not an official feature lol. I'd love an easier way to use it, like a button to toggle it.

I can only pull it off like once every 5 replays, it's so hard on my phone lol. Accessibility is definitely important.

iOS? And what do you mean by accessibility?

Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime. I mean that it should be easy to access for anyone.

For me I find the controls so sensitive as to be nearly unusable. I'd love to go use it more for cuts in videos but the only way I know to move the camera without suddenly being in space is with little tiny jerky nudges.

I like the controls, but I agree they are a little sensitive. It would be good to have the option to change it.

Also, having the option to choose the specific person you want to spectate would be awesome. Then we wouldn't have to spam the next/previous button in replays. (Or in tournaments)

Someone else mentioned this before, but the option to set different scenes in free cam mode. Then you could easily switch between perspectives in events

Don't you need 7 fingers on a screen at a time? Someone told me that it was 9

It's 7 or more. Some devices just don't register 7 concurrent taps at once (I assume) so it will be difficult to enter the mode with those.

It needs a more simple way to start up when the feature goes official for sure.

There needs to be a better way to control camera movements...

You have only spoken the 100% truth. There should never be a time where my camera facing the the front yet my turret is still turned me around. That does not even make any logical sense. Your camera view should always be based off of turret direction. It’s like in a real battle situation your facing the clear direction of which you could potential fire. Why would I want to see the shooter shooting me in the front while my turret still has not swung around. That’s irritating! Rovio please fix that nonsense

This thread is about the free cam feature for replays which allows you to fly around and watch the battle from any angle.

Also, while I understand the frustration from the slow rotating turrets, that's simply the nature of warfare involving large cannons. They simply don't turn as quickly as our heads. The ability to get your turret facing the right direction when you need it is as important as the ability to simply move the ship.

Oh! I apologize I’m in the wrong forum. But as a former TC for a 113 track vehicle in the army my turret and my sight remained the same. I understand slow turret turning, it’s not my issue. That fact that my turret is facing the rear while I’m looking forward is an issue for me.

Haha no worries man! And yea it's weird to get used to in the game, but everyone's dealing with the same thing so it's pretty fair :p
