Team colors for mines

So youre cruising along and come across a mine, but you don't know who's team it belongs to. Any way to make enemy mines red or something. They deal to much damage to just run them over and hope for the best.

 

I agree! It's really annoying if both sides have mines.

When they're blocking an entryway I'd like to know if I could just go through it instead of turning around.

 

...i just go around, not worth the risk. Don't think the devs are gona add colors just because some players would rather drive right over a mine instead of going around it.....

 

No, dont doing this. Mines are a hard game, what reason will be in mines after patch it??? Nobody ll use it.

 

I think its an awesome idea you dont know which is which. Else it'd be too easy to dodge them

 

yeah, please next update for team colors for mines. i'm always killed by oponent mine cause the colors is same

 

There point is to kill u.....changing colors would defeat the purpose.....i mean...i really wish they would change the team bullet, and torp colors so I know which ones to dodge

Yes, please. The reason they need to do this is so using mines won't be a detriment to your own team. Since your own team doesn't know if the mines are friendly or not, they will often try to go around them, which sometimes means breaking off from the rest of the team. You guys forget that mines aren't always just strewn about haphazardly, they're often blocking passages or chokepoints. If my own teammate won't go through my own minefield and dies as a result, then I basically just killed him.

Don't add a color to enemy mines, that would make them easier to see and less useful. Just add a green coloring to allied mines so allies know that it's safe.

 

Adding colours towards mines defeats the purpose of mines, as what @Steven said.



A mine is a weapon which uses the clumsiness of a player who just runs into a mine. If you'd put colours on the mines representing a team colour, the players would easily know which mine is which, meaning that it would be nearly impossible for players who use mines to use.

 

Nope. i disagree with you there. Nesta. that the wholpurpose of the mine. in the real world, if you planted a mine, it will explode, unless you are a mine sweeper.

 

Dont be silly, mines are part of a strategy. If they have colors they become obsolete.

I have used a mine throughout my games in battle bay they are good guard against those quick speeders.

 

You guys are basically saying that each mine kill is a result of people clearly seeing the mine, and then deciding to chance it because they don't know which team it belongs to. That means mines should already be completely useless if you already know no one on your team has a mine launcher (you always know, since that person always uses it at the start of the match). If that isn't the case, then people are running into mines for some other reason. Hence, adding an allied color and not an enemy color won't affect anything since enemy mines won't be any more visible.

Not sure why you brought up the real world. Do you want mine users to be able to directly kill teammates?

 

Actually it is, firendly fire. dont you know that. you cant distinguise it, else it will be useless.

 

Enemy mines wouldn't be colored, only friendly mines.

 

that would be cheating. if you will apply that to the enemy point of view. then the mine is useless. of couse they would not go to the mine if that is not thier team's, but the whole purpose of the mine is to be jack in the box.
if the mine is colored it would be like a napalm launcher. so one will go if they know its yours.
