Ok so I'm a mk4 speeder (mostly) at level 26 with all talents for my build. Currently have 1300 battles and 1100 infamy. Recently seems to be finding it hard to get higher infamy. I've leafed through battle log and seeing mk3 and 2 up here with only t1 mostly and thinking how they got up here and I can't push higher with my current setup. Those lower players do seem however to be more or less dead weight on their teams.

Considering everything, you have a good setup... Since I was this:

Also, this was before the frost buff and the following nerf.
I almost reached my best mk4 infamy with this:

But I went to 1800+ with rare lv10 bandage and epic lv20 turbo. Same weps.

My advice to you(though I can't help to carry you xD) would be to use explo+'nade if you're a closecombat speeder. And to use rare yellows more, they're waaay easier to use. The tesshield is good, but at your infamy, you're gonna get pummeled while using it. Try another yellow if convenient. Also, dual turbo isn't so good. Try to go above 1.5 speed with a single turbo, then equip a small shield or a bandage.

I think you’re about where you should be. This was my setup when I first got up around 1k.

It’s probably quite natural to stall for a bit at 1200-1300, as you’re running into mostly mk5s at that level, and you have a lot of upgrades to catch up on.

Once I’d upgraded enough to get a reasonable speed out of a single turbo, I was able to use my other blue slot to boost my hp with a shield, and I started moving again.

Do you guys just happen to have these timestamp-like screenshots of your ships? I'm probably overthinking it but I only ever have a screenshot of my loadout saved when I'm showing it to someone, then I delete it and take another screenshot when I need it again.

There was an old topic about Battle Bay progress, where we would occasionally post our builds and talk about any meaningful progress that we might have made.

It was just for fun, but I’m able to look back through it, and see (for example) when I got my mk5, when I first hit 2k etc... and what equipment I was running at the time.

It has since proved quite useful for when someone on the forum has questions about thier own progress.

I bet lol I only joined the forums about a week ago. I never grew out of Battle Bay in the first place, but the forums seem to have rekindled my love for battle on the bay. It's probably late for progress stamps now but I could probably do it on my secondary when I get a new device that supports Battle Bay (was playing on my little brother's pc using BlueStacks because my laptop hates BlueStacks, but his pc is a potato)

@AdmiralChris take these guys' advice and reach for the stars, man!

Count yourself lucky! Back in the day I only had tier 3 uncommons. It sucked.
