Blast cannon or explosive cannon ??

Only in terms of damage and without considering other things like range ,cooldown,critics which cannon inflict more damage when the training is done in its favor ?(blast or explosive)

Explosive + fire is Op! Just look at the 70% of the nightmare speeders... but I prefer blast because I have been using it on my speeder and enforcer since I saw Blacktail using it

 

Only one right answer here for the underlined criteria. Explosive cannon does deal more damage.

BT using blast cannon because he has built it before ex cannon was even introduced to the game. At that time there wasn't such a question bc or ec, as the ex cannon didn't even exist in the game.

 

I use double blast cannons on my speeder, as I prefer the slightly shorter cooldown which suits my run and gun style a bit better. Ex cannon on my shooter though

The decision is partially based on slot availability, which is based on both ship type and ship level. Enforcer/Fixer can only equip 1 slot items, so BC is a no-brainer. When I use ExC I rarely got the extra damage from the because it's so situational, but I did notice the extra cycle time on the ExC all the time, so I'm not sure the decision is so simple.

Blast cannon gets its training in the first half of Bhurt training, ExC has the last half.

 

Apart from everything that makes them different, I think the explosive cannon can cause more damage. But I recommend thinking of everything else before choosing your weapon. AOE, Cooldown, slot points, et cetera.

 

Fixer has 2 weapon slot points at mk4

 

I am a speeder and i use flare + blast and i think il give explosive a try and if i like it il keep it or il switch to blast again.

 

Base damage wise EC do more but to increase the total damage you will need lots of training at later level. EC is harder to shoot as well since it has slower projectile speed but also has aoe and a bit more range. So BC for low level and EC for higher, BC for enforcer as well since you dont want to waste any slot point. I used both, love the EC but landed more shot with BC lol

 

One advantage of ExC is that you can miss and still splash people if they’re near a wall, so it can often be easier to hit with.

Earlier today, I actually splashed an enforcer through a wall, on Wayward Plains. Which you certainly can’t do with a Blast.

 

I havent got any through wall hit but when the unfriend hug their fixer, that is when the EC shine. But lots of the time my EC do a direct hit and cause no damage, maybe it was because of the connection, BC is just easier to hit imo
