Choke points: spots in the map that get squeezed tightly. And benefit area damage weapons better. Ie. Mines and torpedoes love choke points.

Try to work with stun duration. Don't break it right away just so you can deal some damage. You're likely going to mess up someone's tactics. Try to line up your shot at the moment the stun is broken, either by the duration wearing off or the stun-inflicter breaking the stun themself. Well-timed stun breaks lead to cleaner kills and more efficient trades.

When flanking/ when defending your team from enemy flankers: avoid being in the line of sight of the enemy. If the can't see you, you have more time to attack without a counterattack, or you will surprise the enemy flanker with an attack that will really harm him.

When playing with Miku Da Yo, realize he carries no heals and is performing the role of other ships such as speeder, enforcer, defender. Failure to acknowledge this will cost the game. You can count the number of full time 3 tape fixers in one hand, this should not be hard to remember.

Maybe this seems obvious but don't just follow them, shoot the boats they're shooting at as well. It is soooooo easy to tunnel vision on an unfriend that hits you a couple times but don't leave your wingman Maverick, focus fire till that boat goes down then move on to the next target as often as possible, eliminating boats is your best chance to win, spreading out tons of damage over 5 unfriends doesn't work ;)

Also something interesting I have found, fire bomb has splash radius so if u dont hit the water but say a rock next to or near enough the burn goes down towards themm as well
not sure if this is true with other/all mortars

It does, but it's less noticeable.
Something about the firebomb I learned in custom games on First Flood was that if the ceiling is really low, you can actually fire directly at the ceiling and it'll still light your enemy on fire. I'm not sure what other maps this is possible on, but keep in mind that the ceiling has to be low enough that the enemy ship is still in the blast radius. It seems like the blast is actually a sphere instead of a circle, and it has to be this way to work with the wave mechanics.

I know, but I just wanted to add that interesting idea of shooting at the ceiling lol I bet over 90% of the bay has never heard of it.

There's a gif I saw uploaded. A feasible location where this ceiling attack is possible is the container-side tunnel in Dropdead. I saw someone(@ViscountSniffit if Im not wrong) use a frost launcher there.

Always remember to use cover to your advantage!

Edit: I was curious what it looked like from the other side.

For Enforcers go so your broadside to the enemy ships and move back and forth as much as possible.
