    hi all

i'm mk5 speeder (not my primary choose for now)

i want to ask how use my yellow setup: booster - tesla bolt - nitro

    - what is the logic? do you need to be the first to hit and then stun the hitted enemy to run away free or stun him before shoot at him end run away with booster/nitro with the risk to be shooted?

    - is worth have 2 nitro for run away used toghether or is better booster + nitro?

    thanks!

By my knowledge(I'm a blast flare assassin in Ace 2), what I do is "blade"(consecutively trigger) the OB+Nitro when scouting. When going in for a kill, I consider my opponent. First step is always a flare. Then, if it's a speeder or a shooter at midrange, I stun. Otherwise I use OB to get unhittable, then fire the blast, then stun a "bystander" while 180°ing the target. After 180°, I count to four(two if the target was an enfo), and hit nitro, while "drifting"(nitro while going 90° sideways).

Execute these moves however your style accomodates them. But this move set, combined with my "bastion"(where I straight up turn to my opponent after 180°ing them using the sideways control) move makes for a superb 1v2/1v3 advanced moveset.

    Also,
    1. The 3× Nitro(a.k.a. trinitro) build is a good build for a close ranged player. And by my calculations(unfortunately, I don't have the high level nitros needed) it might be possible to "resonate" the nitro speed boosts to go above 3.0 speed.
    2. Double OB is a bad idea unless you like constant high speed.
    3. Binitro is ok, but you limit your scouting role.
    4. I'm yet to see this, but double tesla bolt might be a good build. Being able to supress two opponents while pounding down a third... Whew. You'll need two high level bolts tho.

It depends on your set up, and thier set up.

Against speeders, I usually stun them first so they can’t use any yellow items (I especially don’t want them to stun me), then I’ll try to get behind them and shoot them with both barrels.

If you’re directly behind, then it’s still quite easy to hit if they move away, and it means they have to turn thier turret backwards to fight you, which makes it more likely they’ll run into a wall or something.

Against shooters, if I see them launching a lot of torps and mortars, then I’ll stun them first from a distance, and use the time to get as close as possible, so that I’m inside thier Torpedo arming range.

If I don’t ‘need’ to stun someone to land a hit, then it’s best to save it. Try to watch thier turret and stay behind it. If you see it catching you up, and you can’t nitro, then you can use stun to disable them, which buys a bit of time to get behind them again.

If I can kill a ship in 1 hit, then I will usually stun first, so that I can get close and guarantee that I land the hit.

Against multiple ships, you can try to keep one ship on stun while you fight the other. This usually comes up when there is a damaged ship that you want to finish, but he’s with another ship that’s healthy.

It also happens when you have a fixer and another ship (like a shooter)) together. In that situation I’ll usually stun the fixer, so he can’t heal, and then try to kill the shooter. Once the shooter is dead, fixer is a pretty easy kill (especially if he’s running torps or mortars). If you do it the other way around, then the fixer will heal himself up and waste time, and then the shooter will kill you with all his guns while you’re focusing on the other ship.

You can try stunning people so that you can run away, but don’t count it lasting too long, my teammates always seem to love breaking stuns and getting me killed.

Right now it's a universal fact for me. When it comes to helping speeders players have a really bad target preference. Sometimes it happens by mistake that they are about to shoot the guy you just stunned but the rest of the time it's just plain stupid. My rage moments are almost always linked to someone shooting a target I just stunned for a getaway or to attack that weak fixer.
Well I don't think we as speeders could do anything about it. Might be a good idea to have a stun that works on my team mates as well. That way I can stun my teammate first and then go for the unfriends. :D

LMAO! Yes! I can totally see myself, trying for ages to juggle 6 ships, and keep them all on stun, so I can just attack the fixer in peace. And when I finally pull it off, people will say Speeder is too OP, and it’ll get nerfed again...
