every win won 2k sugar, ridiculous, to have at least 200k would have to WIN 100 times what is impossible since I lose 11 win 3 to 5

And here i am wondering what to do with this much sugar but little gold. Actually the main source of sugar is the daily quests for me and i usually convert all the quests into sugar ones. Now i gotta tell u that i too have 1m sugar upgrades but they took almost 3 or 4 days so i collect more sugar when they were being trained. Hopefully this solves the problem for u because it does for me.
Ps: i also upgrade weapon with sugar and still i am full up to the brim b4 next training

That is almost exactly my situation but lower infamy. So far I'm barely managing to stay in the black with sugar but I play more than you. Yesterday was the first time I've ever had a training break because I simply didn't have the sugar and needed to farm it up (so much for pushing infamy). I can only imagine that is going to get much worse.

My 60 (or so) slots of inventory are nearly full. I just scrapped some things I really didn't want to in order to make room. If the next raffle board is any good I'll probably have one slot of inventory to spend my 175k raffle tickets. That is going to be such a joy. For me though, sugar wouldn't really resolve much since blue parts are a much more pressing problem. Such is the life of a F2P player in a freemium game though, no? Isn't it supposed to be frustrating so that we spend money?

lol, it's not the answer anyone wants, but it's the only real answer they're going to get to this complaint.
it's pretty clear the devs made the game to put food on the table, and you don't put feed an office full of people for free.

They aren't just sitting around saying "hmmm, you know... today I feel like spending the next several years starving myself by not making any money because some random jobless 'Tween wants to have a free game to play on the smartphone his/her parents bought him/her.

Think of it this way, If you like the game, then donate to feeding a programmer :)

personally, I think long-term they'd get more donations if the charged less for things... for instance, it's a lot more likely they'd get 500 people to impulse spend $2 on a crate than they will $20... and $99...? good luck...! I have a hard time justifying spending $99 for things I actually NEED, nevermind entertainment.

It is important to note that even if you aren't paying actual cash, there's a LOT of advertising being watched, which is the network TV model proven to be profitable. Players are watching tens of thousands of ads per day, the income of which may exceed all of the direct cash payments... who knows what the numbers are, but even TV channels employ both models simultaneously at this point.

It's also a tradeoff to only go after whales willing to spend $30-99 a pop, or most people who are willing to pay a few $ here and there, but multiple times. Currently there is very little available under $10, and a single $10 transaction won't speed up progress in any meaningful way. At the point when you are exceeding the $60 retail price of the typical off-the-shelf game and your progress is only sped up a negligible amount, the value question comes into play.

Well, Amazon does quite well by being the cheapest place to buy things, because they make up for the smaller profit margins due to the sheer the quantity of sales. Ads work the same way and function like a micro payment. Obviously, I don't know what Rovio earns per ad view, but if Youtube is any guide, then it's a pretty small amount per view. Again, they make up for the small profit margin through sheer volume.
And there's nothing wrong with that, it's a way for players to support the game.
The subscription is $10, so l assume that's where Ads vs NoAds is about the same value, right? that would be how i planned it. keep the lights on, then everything on top of that is profit.
Granted it's NOT the same necessarily.
Ad views have the potential to be either a lot higher or much lower depending on how much people play. The benefit of subscribers to Rovio is that the subscriptions are a guaranteed monthly income to help balance out the possibly rollercoasterness of ad views.

but none of that matters because we're talking about resources and the value of impulse buys. if we assume that ad views and subscription fee average out to be similar value, then we can remove that from the equation, because resource collection from both payment methods should also even out, and that leaves the loot-crate purchases— the impulse buys— to be the cream on top. Now, there's no actual limitation to how much they can dole out... items values are completely dependent on how long it takes to aquire them... we get grey and green items all day long, for instance, while I've been playing for months and STILL haven't gotten even a rare overboost, nevermind an epic one, even though almost everything else i have is either rare or epic. Seems to me like a pretty good teaser to encourage me to buy a crate in hopes of upgrading my overboost... if I was the impatient type, anyway.

and that's the POINT. If they increase the amount of normal Battle earnings, then you wouldn't need to purchase the loot crate to speed things up, would you? so the question is, would they sell more than ten $2 crates for each $20 create that they currently sell? it wouldn't cost them anything to find out... it's not like they're going to run out of sugar. they don't have to stop selling the $20 or $99 crates either, though they might want to tweak what you get in them

The thing is, I already do spend money on the game. I’m a VIP, so I’m already paying for extra rewards and faster training. Yet sugar is a constant bottleneck, even when you’re paying, and grinding games all day.

There is already a lot in this game to spend money on. Crates, offers, items, boosts, ships, buying parts, perks, and shaving time of training/retraining and shop refreshes, etc...

Even if I had a mountain of pearls, sugar is the last thing I want to spend them on.

Lol I feel you there as I normally spend5hrs a day playing. Then again I'm 63 yrs old and semi retired!Lol. So I've got the time to indulge. But at lvl 39 progress is slowing down significantly. I have invested cash since day one to the point of hurting financially( get into a frenzy sometimes lol) now I'm at the point where the cost of progress is diminishing my passion for the game! I would like to think the Devs would do things like your sugar suggestion to keep players passion for the game intact and ongoing, there will of course always be players who can afford to keep advancing up the ladder but for most it shouldn't be and either or situation! Just my opinion of course, would like to others.

The Redmi Note 4 allowed me to grind straight up six hours a day for a week or so during the holidays. Respect to this awesome piece of hardware.

Having VIP may be partially causing your issue since it reduces training times by 20% your need for sugar increases by 20%. The 50% reward bonus without ads may not be fully compensating for it.

You can just keep playing nonstop without that awkward disconnect and it keeps you immersed in the game. Getting that 50% right away helps you grind more efficiently and imo makes the game a lot more enjoyable. The 20% shorter training time can be hard to keep up with, but it is possible.

I tend to use the ad time as a break for my eyes, forcing me to stop looking at the screen for a time, which I think is more healthy than grinding for 2 straight hours. Also if you are fleeting and your fleet mate isn't VIP, you have to wait for the ad time anyway. It's all a tradeoff.
