What's up with the epic chests??

I've bought one for $100 and two more from saving pearls and buying pearl diver. That's a total of 30 epic chests that are "guaranteed an epic item" and some legendary. Well, this time the "legendary item" was one single legendary blue part. I now have three legendary blue parts. Yippie ki yay mutha f#$&er.

What a rip off guys. I have zero, no, none, not a single legendary weapon. In thirty epic chests and more than $100 spent. What in the world would need to be spent to get an legendary item??? At this rate, I would need to spend more than $10,000!!

Will someone from the dev team (or finance team) explain to me what the f--- is going on?

The items gained in this game are 100% random.

You are guaranteed one epic item and one legendary piece (which could be any of 4 colours) in the big crate.
You will never get a complete legendary item from any box, because they don't exist like that.
It costs a mint to buy your way into a great setup in this game, or years of dedicated grinding.

Welcome to battle bay. VIP is the only thing worth purchasing. Pearls are for overtraining (on sugar) to get ahead. Even then eventually everyone else will eventually catch up.

Buy your way to greatness and youll find yourself playing against people who have done the same or at the same skill level.
Your greatness then will seem average, and you will have nothing more than a giant hole in your bank account.
Try to enjoy the game for what it is. Less updates are better. Each update look to get shafted a little more from a different angle.

    Good luck

    How it works:

You get at least 1 epic item per epic container and 1 legendary piece guaranteed

No legendary items are dropped ever. You can only get legendary items by combining pieces.

If you were hoping for a legendary item from an epic chest - sorry to hear that but it's not said or advertised anywhere.

No, I understand that a full legendary item apparently cannot be purchased for $100, which seems like enough money to me. Nevertheless, the balance to GET to a legendary item seems off. Bear with me here:

There are four colors. I can get at least one legendary PIECE per $100.
So I would have to buy (4x10)-3 containers at $100 each to be guaranteed just one legendary item. That's $3,700.
And then there is a HIGH likelihood it's not something I want.
    That's too much.

And then they built a way to IMPROVE legendary items? Who could possibly afford that!? The chances of getting enough legendary items to upgrade even a single item to 50 are laughably low. Like millions of dollars.

    Stupid. Feeling ripped off.

Yea, you need as many as 37 Epic containers (minimum 10) to guarantee a legendary item. It's not worth it though, a T5 rare is as good as a Legendary 1, and the only way to exceed a T5 Epic is to have a Legendary T3. Imagine the odds of getting 3 of the same legendaries? Legendaries are a waste of thought for 99.9% of players.

Couldn't agree more, many people keen on getting legendaries through $$$, but they don't seem to realise that there is no nett gain even after getting said legendaries. You get legendaries -> your infamy rises -> you meet other opponents armed with legendaries bigger than yours -> you're still stuck with 50% win rate. Better just enjoy your games with your current setup, and slowly grind your way to legendaries just as an added goal.

Nope, it's piece by piece. And it's worth repeating, you need at least 3 of the same Legendary item to surpass the value of an Epic. Good luck with that... remember Battle Bay has 35 unique items, and the odds of getting the triplicate of the item YOU want is minuscule.

Believe it or not, there are SEVERAL people with FULL weapon loadouts at tier 5, level 50 LEGENDARY gear.

Ive plAyed other games in which people have paid upwards 50k to obtain greatness and still fall short.

You could be playing against Tom Hanks for all you know. Or Warren Buffet. Or Oprah Winfrey. You have no idea who it is in reality. Dont waste your money, enjoy your time. It is more satisfying anyhow.

I've seen the videos myself, thus the frustration. I think Rovio GIVES it to them. I think they're the YouTubers who exchange a little promotion for a Legendary buildout. Even if I was filthy rich I wouldn't drop $50k on a game. I might drop $100, or even $200, but the average of what I have received doesn't support ANYONE ending up with a full lengendary buildout.

Rovio would find it much more profitable to just give lege t5s to Porthos or Bittersteel xD.

They are probably as rich as possible: D As @TheAntiSnipe spoke, why would Rovio give legendary items to players who are not as popular as Porthos and Bittersteel and would leave those true legends with epic and rare?

I’ve never bought an epic crate, but I might do one day (maybe save up ma pearls). While you’re guaranteed only 1 epic, I think you have a reasonable chance of hitting quite a few more. I seem to get complete epic items out of those chests quite frequently.

It’s also possible to get more than one legendry piece. I pulled a legendry red piece from a regular chest last week.

I think it’s actually a good thing that legendries are so expensive. If an all gold set-up was within the grasp of people willing to spend $100-200 then they’d be everywhere, and the game would be unplayable for f2p, and casual spenders. Keeping them expensive, keeps them out of my games (mostely), and that’s good, because I can’t afford one. :)
