Is it just me, or all the battles right before you advance to a new league really close?

    Yes! Today is the day I've finally advanced!
    Well... to ACE, not NIGHTMARE or anything.
    But I feel like all the battles right before you advance to a new league are really, really close.

    Take for example, the battle before I went to ACE was really close, with me killing my enemy a split second before he killed me :D


    Do you guys have any videos of your last battles before you've advanced that were really close? I'd like to see them :)

    ...No, I advanced to Ace 2 hours after the season ended... :( :mad:
    And now I have to deal with mk 6 whales...

    Before, matches do seem close, but at season beginning, different story... biggest losing streak I've ever seen in this game. I was thinking players may tank right before season end to avoid advancing, but that would imply Matchmaker(tm) decided to put them all on my unfriendly team. It was uncanny how bad my teams were relative to the others.

    I was a hair off Nightmare and let me tell you, finding an enemy team with two Mk6 Fixers backing up American Marauder against my poor Mk5 ... well, it's certainly something else.

    Hmm unlucky. Thank goodness I hit Nightmare before global launch. It’s a pain for ace 1 players to climb up now.

    That it happens at some arbitrary point is just you, or well its confirmation bias.

    But games are naturally harder when you play around your peak infamy, solid evidence that the infamy system works alot better than the endless stream of matchmaking complaints will have you believe.

    You notice the defeats exactly at peak because the result matters to you. Most games are just mindless grinding, so those few games where the result matters are the ones you remember.

    Its much much easier now. People reach Nightmare with lower level and worse gear than before. Nothing about global launch that is holding anyone back.
