    Hi everyone:

I have inherited a guild (LOL) and I'm looking at swapping it to closed and getting rid of the members who do not contribute. But before I do, I wanted to know if there are any limitations on low-infamy players participating in the guild quests. Is there some reason that someone with... say... 200 infamy can't participate?

There's not much of a limitation, except weapon damage. Killquests and stuff actually come easier to newer players.

Nope. We've got a mix of high infamy (concentrate on dmg quests) and low infamy (concentrate on wins, dom, SINKER quests). We just had a new lev6 guy join and he completed a Defender win quest.

We set a minimum expectation of 500 trophies but tbh thats really low. Anyone achieving less than 1000 prob isn't playing daily with quests turned on.

    Thanks for the responses folks.

It doesn't seem reasonable to me that my guild takes top slot every week but out of 25 people only 6 participated and only 3 of those seriously worked at it. Last week, 19 people got 52k tickets for literally nothing.

If you feel confident, throw down an ultimatum, and give 'em the boot if they don't pull weight. Just be prepared to recruit some new members to replace them.

Personally as a Fixer main, I'm pretty limited on what I can directly contribute to. But if you've got a fleeted quest for "deal X damage" or "sink X ships" - I might not be the one who puts the boats in the drink, but it doesn't count unless you win. And a friendly Fixer certainly helps tilt the odds in your favor.

This started as an open guild before I inherited it and I certainly don't want to turn it into a power-gamer guild. But I think hoping for more than 0 contribution most weeks from most players is not unreasonable. Even as a fixer, you're not all that limited. For instance, napalm is my weapon of choice on my fixer whereas it's an awful weapon on a shooter. Honestly, before I try ultimatums I think I'll try communication. For instance, setting up a guild discussion board might help get people on board. I, for instance, didn't even know about guild quests until I happened to read guild chat. I was almost M3 at the time.

Inactivity is certainly one aspect and we frown on that. But as far as contribution, I am ok that the stronger players do more than the weaker players. The "free" tokens they get from the top dogs will hopefully help them level and improve faster. So don't be as harsh on the contributors as you are to the inactives. We have a low infamy player that no one can fleet with and he plays minimally, but consistently. I just can't bear kicking him for being active! One truth that we will have to face though is that many quests involve fleeting. If you can't fleet, you are only PART helpful.

Not every player communicates well in games. There are different countries and languages. But I agree with @Snapshot that communication is key. Make your guild democratic and open the vote up to the people! This way you are not the "bad guy". GL! ;)
