Does anyone have any tips for me and my loadout. What to level first, what items to use etc. All my ships are empty except this now, but I also play shooter.

Let me start this off with a question. You're in a 1v1. It's super high pressure, both of you could die in the next shot. What do you fire?

Hmm well you don't seem to have acquired the greatest speeder friendly weapons, and I don't recommend you stick it out with standard cannon for too long. That being said, a sniper can work quite decently on a speeder, so I suggest you level up the rare ones as you probably won't be able to get your epic to t3 any time soon. Wow you are very fortunate to have already gotten 3 epic big shields :) those are great for mk5 and on.

As for strategy, use your tesla shield and get into a zone behind a wall that you can peak out of to start the battle. Just keep peaking, shooting, and hiding while cooldown waits. You can pretend to come out too if you want to make them waste shots. If too many players push you or a bunch of mortars are spammed at you then you can nitro away somewhere safe. From there its kinda up to your own sense to see if you should push up somewhere or attack etc. But this is generally a good strategy to get settled into a match.

    Nitro tips:
In beginning of battles, speed into the open (at an angle! not straight on! ) in order to scout for your team, and as soon as names pop up you should wait 1/4 to 1/2 a second before nitroing to give them enough time to lock on and fire, but their shots will be left in the dust. If you nitro too soon, they will not fire their weapons and instead they'll just hit you at the end of your nitro. Be sure to nitro into a safe area. Also, when in 1v1 settings, you can nitro just before another player's universal weapon cooldown is about to reset as to make them miss a shot. I'm actually not too sure if your boat is fast enough at this stage to safely scout, considering you don't have a slot for overboost. So try it and see if it can be done

I am actually really good at aiming swift torp. It does 550 damage.

What style do you play in? Gunning down everyone like John Wick on steroids, or going in silent and shooting people in the back? Or is it trapsetting?

On maps like destruct 9, very nice for flanking, I will pop out in the back, shoot a torp or two, shoot a cannon, then when I see that people are turning towards me I will put up a tesla shield, then nitro out, all while telling my team which guys to attack. Then I wait for tesla to reload while my team holds down the fort. Then I do this again.

Honestly, I would trade out either the shield or nitro for an overboost (probably nitro)

Since you enjoy flanking, overboost can help with speed, which means more missed shots. With that said, watch out for mines and torpedoes

Since you are faster, you can get in and out better. Make sure to use OB before shield, that way if the shield is broken, you still have boost

Try pairing an explosive cannon with your swift torp if you enjoy flanks. It's a good loadout. Use the environment to indirectly hit enemies.
