Just got a rare one of each of the frosty things. Haven't really ever used either. Which one is best for a beginner to try out?
    Thanks....

With the recent reduction in power of each of these weapons(a.k.a nerf) I'd advice the launcher. The blaster is for people with big torps who fought at super close range. Launcher is for a mortarman. I would advise this strategy:
    1. Call out a target
    2. Fire launcher.
    3. Fire your mortar.

Frost actress like stuns, and breaks in a single hit. It can, however, be used as a glue gun.

I'm thinking of building a blaster myself, replacing the nitro with it. That way I can slow down those pesky speeders.

Here's a rule of thumb for you:
Launcher is for enforcers, blaster is for speeders.

Launcher is an AoE tool. Meaning it is only useful on mortar speeders, which are a veeeery rare species on the Bay

Okay. I mainly use it for contribution points, but I do like staying at distance, frosting multiple targets, so when my swift torp reaches there, it gets bonus damage for whoever moved in its path.

I thought it was more of a one slot vs a two slot... otherwise who would go bolt over aoe?

Frost blaster used to be great before update,Stuck enemy like a glue you cant even move an inch. Also frost blaster has unlimited range and terrific projectile speed with a isak talent of Healing debuff by 30% i think

Well, on a mk6 or mk4 speeder who also happens to be a beginner, yes, launcher is better, I concede. But on any other speeder, no. No launchers. Also, if you're a frost user who knows his torps, you don't need the AoE launcher, you can gluegun and backshot your targets.

If we're talking personal choice, I would. I can use team vision and manipulate it very easily, as such, launcher is too flashy and attracts too much attention to the user. As someone who used frost torp before the buff, I can say confidently that it is superb for stealthy ops. You don't hear gunfire, you only feel a little slow, and before you can react, boom.

You're giving up a yellow space by running frost launcher on an mk5 speeder, mk6 has an extra slot to run a 2 slot yellow item plus two other 1 slots

My thoughts exactly. Running launcher on a mk5 is a bad idea. If you just want to get a feel for frost, replacing nitro with blaster works great. I was playing with a rare blaster yesterday, using it as assist and slowdown tool. Just healblocked the fixer and messed him up. But no. At my infamy and my current setup, frost just doesn't work for me xD.
