Can anyone tell me if t5 rare explosive cannon is better or t4 epic blast cannon

I've an epic blast cannon at lvl 31 and an ex-cannon waiting to take to t5. I don't have the parts yet to upgrade them both. So i want to be judicious and don't want to waste hard earned resources as of right now.

 

They are not like sniper & BC. So you can upgrade them both. I believe bc has more accuracy but Ec has splash and more damage. I would go for bc simply because of it's accuracy and is one slot weapon so can be equipped in any ship. I just don't see myself choosing t5 rare over t4 epic but in this case they are different weapons. In conclusion, if you have enough epic parts go for bc. Else go for ec and wait for epic parts for later bc upgrade.

 

Thanks for your reply. I use speeder as my main ship with flare gun and ex-cannon as my current setup. Recently got blessed with epic blast cannons from weekly crates. I want to know if my damage will be at par with the ex cannon setup when I take it to t5 otherwise I'll put upgrading my blast cannon on hold.

 

Does this mean you have t4 ex cannon and t3 blast cannon? I was talking about evolving from the start and things might be different in that case.

 

I have lvl 40 ex cannon and a lvl 31 blast cannon. I have duplicates to make my ex cannon to t5.

 

Both your blast and ExCannon are T4, but the blast is epic and has 4 perk slots, while the ExC is rare and only has 3. Your blast will most likely deal more damage with fire if you put all four fire perks on it.
IMO, go blast cannon.

 

Thanks. But what if I upgrade my rare ex-cannon to t5 and max it out. Will it still do lesser damage than the blast cannon?

 

Since you are already at tier IV on both weapons and the training doesn't affect each other, it is just a matter of which to upgrade first. Bc makes a better combo with flare gun than Ec imo. Maxed out tier IV blast with burning perk should be better than tier V rare EC(because of one less perk slot on rares0. Go for blast first and you will eventually upgrade Ec too.

 

Level 40 Epic will be more powerful than Rare level 50, and the additional perk is something you wouldn't like to waste. In endgame Explosive Cannon does more damage than BC, but it needs the proper crew training, and it is just in late Bhurt talents that EC takes advantage over BC. IMO you should make good use of that epic BC, i'd love to have one

Wow. I have both of those weaps in the exact same position lol...

I’m going with the xcannon all the way, its far and away my favourite weapon. My rare with one damage perk says it maxes out at 1046, whereas the old bcan (epic) only maxes out at 860... but in all fairness my bhurt tree is all sniper or xcannon...

It’s not exactly the same though because i am shooter so i can spare more slots than a speeder I think... but dont you get 3 slots for your 2 guns? Flare is only one so you shouldn’t have a problem...

 

When 3 shooters are all huddling around the fixer, that’s when the xcannon really shines!

Lol. I have hit speeders at range with my x... its one of the hardest weapons in the game, so i put one on my boat right away to learn how to shoot. It’s so fun I rarely take it off.
