Tesla bolt - what for?

Hi guys,
Just starting off (L23, 600ish infamy). Not too many epic items, but have this epic tesla bolt I find completely useless. Thinking of scrapping it for parts. Yes/no? Are they useful at all? Worth keeping?

Keep all the epics you have, because who knows, you may need/want to try them later on ,and Tesla bolt is pretty nice for effectively cutting down enemy's firepower as well by stunning

 

Definitely worth keeping, though maybe not worth using until a little later on in the game.
Stun rules the bay in the late game.
A maxed epic stun lasts for 16 seconds so if your team know not to shoot the stunned enemy you can effectively remove that player from the game for 16 seconds.
Works great for 2vs1 and especially 1vs1 situations for repositioning yourself/giving your weapons a cooldown grace period.

It's probably the most powerful item in the game.

 

Very useful and pretty rare, I have 1 and have been playing for many months. Definitely keep it, if you rock the speeder it'll come in handy down the road when just about every ship that can, has a tesla. I like the epic tesla bolt too, throw as many perks on it as possible, and it does a good job defensively in 1v1 but also flinging across the board at a shooter to give your team a break. Definitely keep it, its super rare.

 

Theoretically, I agree with you. Unfortunately, too many Friends dont realize that when you hit a ship that's bolted, the effect mostly wears off, leaving you vulnerable if youre reloading (happens to me all-the-stinkn-time).

 

Yep.
It gets better when you climb the ranks a bit but even in nightmare league there are a lot of players who have no team awareness.
That's the real price we pay for the immense p2w element of this game.
