Aiming Missile Launchers

I'm starting to use that beatiful weapon but, noob as I am, I'm having some trouble aiming it.

Should Missile being aimed a lot diferently than mortars? How do I proper aim it? Or shouldn't it to be aimed at all?

The projectiles are spread over a range which are best in their accuracy when the range is less. That is the shorter distance they cover the higher chance of clubbing of them together to make effective touchdowns.
Use range perks for help with that, also increasing projectile count through blastain upgrades' helps.
Just aim a little back and forth depeding on the direction of the enemy, and increase the 'little' part further while tackling ships at high speed, and of course us speeders
Sometimes just hitting without aim changing would do it as the enemy tends to go ahead and back or do some dance like those enforcers do.

There is other tip that I don’t know if someone mentioned it but:

If you are far from your target, and you know that your missles spread, it’s better to hit the other ship with the highest area of its hull. That means that sometimes you will need to move yourself to a certain position to maximize your damage. I know this sounds trivial, but, sometimes can pass it by users knowledge. What do I mean ?

Do it yourself: TEST

If someone try to hit you with missles, put your ship in a position that you will have bow-to-bow. You will see that the damage that you’ll take will be way lower. But if you are abeam to his bow, then you will take the maximum damage. This is obvious since missle are lined up horizontally. So if enemy ship is Also that way, the higher the area hitted.

But as I said, this is only for long range shots. Close range shots, missles are too close to each other that the hit might not make much difference.

Also there are a lot of good missile users on the bay whom you can look upto, but the trick is to get the handling yourself
