High Infamy on an mk4

So, I've seen quite a few pictures on the forums of people(@Babablacksheep , @Joeyaa and some other people who I don't remeber) getting above 2000 infamy in an mk4. I'm personally an mk4 enforcer that just made it to 1600 infamy and practically everybody there is an mk5, with an occasional mk4 and mk6. I've fleeted with players around 1900 infamy, and all the players there were mk5(except me, as I was the low-infamy-fleeter). So my question is, is there some kind of strategies you guys used to get so high up? Or is it that just before there was less competition?

 

Well with such a broken system the only way is to pray upon a star or spend money. Just keep playing and you will rise naturally, infamy is just a number anyways, means nothing at all

 

I was rising quite a bit lately; I went from 1100 at the beginning of the last season all the way to 1600 in the first hour of this season. I really only care about infamy for the increased battle rewards from leagues and the small amounts of money/not-the-best prizes from the leagues(400 rare parts is really helpful to me).

 

I've seen a mk3 at 2k infamy!

 

I've seen a legit(captain level 10) mk1 at 1300.

 

here is mine. Reached 4k at mk5 with rare setup only and 3k at mk4

Well Im not as popular as before because i quitted early but still hope you find it that nothing is impossible. Even with inferior ship and weapons. The most relevant is how you utilize your set up and how you play with your team .

Played for a year and only got 4 epic perks. Haha . Good thing it's a lot easier to get perks now

 

I think when joey and a lot of higher level people started playing there wasn't as many p2w people. We started at global launch so. We had a group of people who we moved up with because the competition wasn't as thick as it is now - and we didn't see a lot of infamy tankers

 

Get a legendary shield... mk4 speeder will fly over 2k with all those extra hp

 

I used a sniper,LRM and canon haha At 2.3k with frost launcher.Assisst team mostly and i was good with enforcer at escaping constantly dancing.My highest damage is around 19k.Secret! You have low HP so use assisst more and Help team.That is how fixer climb fast,Assisst works best.And launcher at T4 is still terrific,If you are enfo user

Now as a shooter i always used the popular weapons Firebomb and sniper,best at maintaining range again.Dual sniper(One of them was uncommon) 1 LRM and 1 F.B.

i am feeling that torpp is a newish player like me where i believe the bay is much harder to progress in with weaker ships due to all these guild quests especially, apparently in the past there were times where mk3s got to high 1000 infamies

 

I started playing May(or April, not really sure) 2017. My main/current account is my second account that I made second after discovering how to do it.

 

oh ok , i only started playing at august or september, i was just guessing that u are quite new as u only have mk4

 

There’s an mk4 over 4K infamy. It just goes to show ship mk barely matters. It’s all about your equipment and how you use it.

 

yesi have tier 1 items mostly, no wonder i have only got to 1300 infamy

 

Well, if you have legendaries and your captain level is decent, of course you could do that. But that person's captain level is like 36 which is by far enough to upgrade to mk5.
