I want to discuss with the community whether Repair bolt should be shot as is like tesla bolt or changed to be like Frost Blaster.
Personally I feel like frost blaster projectile gives the item more uniqueness because it is supposed to be a long range capable item. Being shot as a tesla bolt makes it able to travel over waves but it cannot go over boats and often gets intercepted or missed due to its speed. I think having it shoot straight makes it more like how it was intended. I just want to see the community's opinion on it so comment below.

EDIT: like you guys suggested maybe we can add a new 2 slot item so how about this.

    Repair Beam: 2 Slot Green

Effect: Heals team mate on hit (Shoots like railgun)
    Range: Infinite
    Power: heals more than bolt
    Cooldown: Same as railgun

Or maybe make a separate repair item, the repair blaster

Yeah I've thought of this too, back when the bolt originally came out. Imo a repair blaster would be much cooler. Also, it's much more likely that rovio would add a new green item rather than change how an existing one works.

in the poll I don't understand the difference between frost blaster and flare gun aren't the way they shoot similar? or do you mean difference in projectile speed?

Personally I don't like repair bolt, as a speeder I see many fixers try to lead me but I'm speeding around and a lot of the time they miss... Sure there are some fixers who are better than others but most of the time I would prefer they shoot another friend who is easier to lead... I guess if we changed the way repair bolt fired then it would be easier to aim but it would also be easier to miss...

I guess frost blaster is so underused that you haven't even seen it fired xD that's okay, not ur fault. It shoots a straight beam more similar to rail gun, but not exactly like a rail gun.

Repair blaster: 1 slot, railgun type projectile speed, behaves like bolt on hit, drops a box with 50% of bolt value and a 30 second duration on miss.

I'd prefer they add another 2 slot green item, maybe this could be it but it would just need to outclass the bolt and other 1 slot greens to compete with pulse

    Mistakenly tapped the wrong option!
I'd like no changes with the Bolt!
It's great as it is! :p

Changing it to Frost Blaster would be a significant nerf - Big fan of how it is now!

While I dont doubt that some Fixers have horrible aim (we choose the green boat for a reason!), its important to remember that getting the team healed is also your responsability.

Here's how it plays out when I play with good Nightmare speeders:
    1. When the game starts I shoot my bolt at (or in front of) a speeder - Telling them how they are going to be healed later on.
For the Fixers teammates its always a good idea to identify what items they have equipped.

    2. A clever speeder thats low on HP and coming back for heals has taken note of my setup and comes at me with an easy to hit angle. Or ask for help and then sits stationary for abit out of enemy sight (with a clear los to the fixer).

    3. Most importantly you dont move behind your fixer and stay there. So many games are lost when Im forced to look away from the Battle before I can heal you.

Bolt is an amazing healing item and I get send most speeders back into action very fast if they (and Mr) play smart. On their way back they get Bolt #1, then they are in range for double Pulse & as they speed away I shot them in the back with Bolt #2.

But thats my point as a speeder you either have to keep looking at the fixer to see where they are shooting to try to run into the bolt if they miss or you have to stay still which is dangerous when the enemies have mortars or torpedoes, a speeder HAS to keep moving otherwise it will die faster than you can heal it...

That's why @Kitterini mentioned that the Speeder only needs to make the reduction in the weaving when they're coming in for a heal. If you're in the thick of the enemy fleet then absolutely make with the zigzags - I'm not likely going to bother firing a Bolt into that mess as it's probably going to miss. But when you break free and are calling "Help!" on approach to me, do your best to at least tone it down a notch.

Come in with a little wiggle, and turn in front of us when you're coming by for the Pulse hit, that way we can track you the whole way and not lose sight of the fray ahead.
