What ship needs a Nerf? And what ship needs a buff?

    Fully agreed that the speeder doesn't start dominating before mk6 and that its a high end issue more than anything --- In general I hope that the devs spend the vast majority of their ´thinking about balance´ time on endgame though. The endgame is where item & talent evolution stops, and where everyone over time will end up. Its alot easier to accept imbalance at a lower mk as you will grow out of it. Imbalances at endgame (currently mk6+7) you cannot grow out of.

    To me the clearest example of how terrible an idea it can be to focus on low level balance is the Repair Pulse nerf --- Fixers we're (are) the best boat at mk4+5, which prompted the devs into nerf action. The result? Fixers are still the best mk4+5 boat. But at mk6 where fixers before the nerf was a middle of the pack boat, they are now the worst choice for anyone with dreams of peaking at #1.

    In all the Nightmare snapshots I've done its been a clear trend that speeders are the best performing boat for f2p / low spending players. There are whale speeders yes, but the class has a lower amount (percentage wise) of whale players than the rest. I'm sure alot of speeders play it because they like that playstyle the most, but I am also sure that (assuming equal skill & gear) a high end speeder will always finish above a high end fixer.

    Not that it matters for 90% of Nightmare players though -- Unless you can break the top 50 then you get the same reward as everyone else :)

    Yes absolutely true on each points.
    Pulse nerf was probably the worst balancing change besides frost nerf.
    Pulse nerf affected mk6 and frost nerf affected mk4 and mk5's badly.
    Problem with pulse was mk5 performing same as mk6 so reducing 1 slot point from green slot and adjusting it to blue would have done the trick imo.
    And with frost was the gluing effect it offered now the setup is dead.
    Of course balancing is needed at end game if certain ship is out performing other classes but it should be done in such a way that it does not affect lower levels of that class.

    This is the core issue here, and why people calling for "Nerf X" and "Buff Y" aren't responded to immediately. cough cough Sniper Cannon cough

    As @Kitterini pointed out, Fixer at Mk5 still punches far above its weight infamy-wise compared to the other Mk5 ships, but the other ships leapfrog it when they get to Mk6. Mid-level Defender is underpowered, but evolves into a floating fortress at Mk6. Low-level Speeders and Enforcers are annoying little flies at best; at Mk6, a Yellow ship sneaking up behind your fleet is almost guaranteed to sink one ship and will likely take a serious chunk out of a second at the bare minimum.

    If this poll was to be accurate, it would look like an SAT with the number of multiple-choice questions it would spawn. ;)

    I use every boat (I know it's tougher to raise infamy this way, I know, but I prefer to enjoy everything the game has to offer), and I feel like speeder is stronger and enforcer is a lot weaker than any other boat.
    I guess my captains are equilibrated so it's not like my training choices favored my speeder. Speeder is stronger than other as far as i can see on my mk5 boats.

    I think its because its the first ship you get... since its the first ship you get used to it.

    The other 4 ships are going to need speed and turret speed buffs, a good speeder can run circles around defenders bringing their health down while minimizing return fire

    I think shooter is most common because its the first ship players just get used to it and don't bother changing.... if speeder were the first ship In the beginning then it would be the most common ship...

    When I say high level I mean the top 50 leaderboard in which 23 play speeder and 15 play shooter

    I know that you meant the top 50, but most of battle bay's players are not top 50.

    Because it gets really good in the higher mk stages. Same with the Enforcer.

    As I said, It gets good in upper stages. Enforcer is really powerful there, it's just that its items were nerfed.

    The improved turret speed rotation would actually make rudder shield turbo the new mk6 meta for duellist speeders... But I like the way it is going.

    but what would they get rid of... speeders run big shield, bandage and turbo I don't think any of these are worth getting rid of for a rudder even if turret rotation is buffed...

    @Torpp Enforcer Sucks at mk6 also,Rare Tesla shield is broken by one Explosive shot.Unless you are willing to spend on Epics,Dont even try to upgrade it

    Can you explain why it sucks. I'm pretty sure, it's just that its items were nerfed, making it less powerful. The enforcer as I remember was one of the most used ships up in the high leagues during the beta and everything.
