I do understand that in order for a game to be successful it has to be intuitive with the control scheme.
    BUT
why do we have auto aim on at the competitive level?
Its like playing a competitive FPS and using aim bot.
Can developers please comment on the reason for keeping auto aim in the game?

Its good for beginners who do not know how to play you know. A non intuitive aiming system will cause alot of people to uninstall. But once they get past the learning curve
They should have 100% manual aim.
Skill based gameplay is what keeps everyone playing and involved because its both exciting and rewarding.
    Thank you!
If devs are open to this idea, please let players do some beta testing beforehand. It is a very huge thing to change.

    Here are my arguements:

    Pros:
~ Makes the game much more skill based
~ Manual aim is already built into the game, we just need to turn auto lock off
~ F2P players with skill will not hit a wall against P2W players as much
~ Less P2W feelings toward the game leads to better reviews and healthier community
~ No more blaming a missed shot on auto aim glitches
~ Full control of shots X and Y axis placement

    Cons:
~ Creates a huge learning curve
~ All weapons except torps(kinda) are affected
~ Can be difficult for users with phones such as Iphone 4 and smaller
~ Matches may take longer initially due to inability to land hits
~ Worst case of most matches being a TIE because nobody on either team can hit anybody
^ the above could be possible but i don't think it will be that bad lol

I used to play on an iPhone 5c and if I had to manual aim on a screen that small I would’ve quit a long time ago

I mean it's harder but that's not as big an impact as you think. There are many mobile games that are played on iPhone 5C. Modern combat, Nova, metalstorm:eek:nline, such. Don't forget we do have gyroscope as an option.

With the speed of the game and the difficulty of actually hitting a target even with auto aim it would be a bad idea to remove auto aim in my opinion.

I can see the draw back of games maybe taking a little longer but I think it can be a very good change. It will incredibly widen the skill gap. It gives F2P players a much better fighting chance. And it's not ethical to argue against manual aiming being unfair. People can learn and adapt, most people already aim in higher levels. I think manually aiming only affects point and shoot the most. Torps will become easiest to manually aim. Mortars get a little harder due to no x y axis auto alignment. And point and shoot will take alot of skill. In all fairness though this change can mean low level players can get into higher infamies if they simply aim well, and people who pay to win can drop because they cannot aim as well. Playing on a smaller screen isn't that valid an excuse because in 2017 nobody really runs on a phone the size of an iPhone 4 or below.

Do you mean the lock on feature or targetting as a whole

Can you expand on it a bit? I'm not too sure. I want to take away the turret moving automatically. If you dont move your right joystick, turret should always face the same direction. I think manual aim encompasses that the right joystick handles all aiming on both X and Y axis. Left joystick controls all movement.

Like the little button that turns green when you press it, or the tracking when you look at someone

I meant the tracking when you look at someone. Once you remove that, the little button becomes obsolete.

You remove auto aim. You make morta and sniper cannon a lot harder to use. That just won't go down well with a large part of the battle bay community. You gotta remember that Rovio doesn't really care about free to play players as well. They won't do anything to make it harder for their $$$ whales.

The game is built around that aiming system, to remove it would require a complete redesign of the day

In that sense, if i can theoretically convince the $$$ whales to want to remove auto aim then the devs will do it is what you are implying lol.
Removing auto aim makes all weapons hard to use except torps which are hard to hit anyway. Having to adjust for x and y axis through your own skill is what makes games fun. Who would want to play an FPS with aimbot? This isnt an fps but it feels like aimbot and very non skill based.

sometimes auto aim doesn't make it easier.. often when enemies are up close targeting goes all haywire and I end up shooting in between two enemies

plus auto aim is limited by your turret speed so unless your turret is able to move fast enough to track any ship its not like its a 100% aim bot kind of thing

I don't think its a complete redesign, you can already manually aim all weapons in game, we are just taking away the auto lock

Shouldn't people who have auto aim bugs agree with the removal of auto aim then? I will repost my OP to make my statement more concise

I wasn't implying that but I guess if that's what they wanted the devs might take note lol. But I think you'll find the whales quite like always hitting their targets easily.

with so many parameters to battles like waves and what not I think if it were purely manual aim it would be almost impossible to hit ships. If a speeder nitros behind you do you just vigorously swipe the screen to turn around?
