    Frost breaking on damage. You see this is really confusing because it used to be like the fire combo. So long as the status is active, people can spam you and reap the damage bonuses. Fire doesnt go away when its shot, you can chain multiple shots and benefit from flare bonus. Frost was the same except the damage is much higher and shots easier to land. I think the biggest problem with frost breaking on dmg is that it can break instantly. That can be very useless. However having it last for 10+ seconds with perks is unfair as well. I think the most fair solution is for it to not break on damage but have a max duration of 5 seconds and all duration perks removed. Nerf the base slow down strengths but introduce perks to increase base strength. I know the devs won't do it so i just voted yes. It is still better than reverting back to what it was.

    Perhaps we could revert the frost breaking to the way it was old patch (reduces by half on hit) but on top of that, similar to tesla shield, it will also break if it exceeds a certain damage. Maybe the amount of time x100 would be acceptable hp until it breaks, so 15 second frost is 1500 hp til it breaks.

    Edit: the HP should actually be proportional to the % slowed, not the time

    Good idea, cuz a 4k torp will break so they dont get hammered by 4 of them, but a few sniper shots or cannons wont screw up a torp combo

    Yeah since I still use the frost torp combo, but I may as well take off frost (and I will at mk6) considering how inconsistent the combo is. People break the frost all the time unless I come from behind them

    You're removing all perks in the game dude. I mean perks are advantage. Lets take away your healing buff perks and see how it works.
    Frost torp does high damage because unlike fire explosive you cannot carry TS and shield from damage you just have 1 chance to do it right else you're most likely dead.

    I voted no. No combo deserves to be nerfed that hard. I say you keep the one shot break on for the launcher, while the blaster will oneshot break only if hit by underwater weapons like mines and torps. What do y'all say?

    Frost is assist weapon for mortars too. Nothing is breaking frost, I repeat nothing. Frost is like fire assist weapon everyone with frost perks should be able to take advantage as they are trading off raw damage perks.

    Fire is a DOT, aye. But have you considered the ramifications? Suppose you shoot a frost launcher at a cluster and then someone starts a perked berta shower. What then? Sitting ducks for a few seconds...

    And mind you fire can assist all cannons present on your team say 2 each means (2x4 plus your 1 that is 9 assists) *I feel like messi*.
    Frost is for slow heavy damage dealing weapons which are hard to hand. But when they do, it should hurt a lot. ezgif-1-48b6a79d0c.gif

    Douch man is a frost god. I know. But then again, imagine 3-4 Big Bertas heading into a team full of icicled shooters. After the first one lands, if frost isn't broken, we're talking enough damage to bring the toughest defenders to HALF HEALTH.

    That is ideal scenario but nobody plays that way. Team having berta on even more than 3 berta is unlikely. And 3 of them landing is 3 times less likely 2 sec cooldown thing.

    I agree, it doesn’t even have to be Bertha, a regular mortar shot can be just as good as a glancing blow from a Bertha when your frozen. Frozen might have to be fixed a little bit maybe 2-3 hits before it’s broken at max. But by no means necessary should it ever be able to stay on its entire duration while you are still taking damage. I think that’s a little absurd.

    Its very highly likely,Since i play shooter i know.Even on one shot break of launcher,i end up get pounded other mortars which hurt without frost.Shooter doesnt have accelaration like speeder,So basically its frosted without advantage.Only applies to launcher,Easiest tool to spam

    And dont compare it with fire,Frost has its own yellow slot.For fire red slot get used up,Its a kind of weapon in itself

    Yes it has to be red slot weapon itself because it deals damage. That doesn't mean that it can't be compared. Both are assisting tools and on that basis they can be compared. But that's topic for some other day, let's just keep thread on frost.

    I just thought of something!!!!!!!!

    Lets make frost work like this.
    Remove frost from breaking on hit.

    Heres how the new frost could work:

    Say the frost duration is 11.1 seconds:

    1 Sec Slowed down by 1/11 of maxmimum slow
    2 Sec Slowed down by 2/11 of maxmimum slow
    3 Sec Slowed down by 3/11 of maxmimum slow
    ...
    10 Sec Slowed down by 10/11 of maxmimum slow
    11 Sec Slowed down by full maxmimum slow

    This is very interesting because frost is no longer a insta slow. your ship slowly gets slower and slower until the peak then you are defrosted completely.
    If you get hit the duration is cut by half. Thoughts?

    What I basically meant is that we cannot use the same measurement to nerf both, both of them are individually devastating, but in different ways. It is unlikely that a shooter will be hit with three big torps after taking a blaster shot. But it is veeeeery likely that a launcher shot will be followed by a mortar rain from hell.

    Def think there is a difference between launcher and blaster, i feel they should almost have different break standards but neather should ne after 1 shot unless they base it off of damage done then something BIG hitting them would free them up

    I use to be a Frost Launcher and Ballpark Mortar player. Let me say that FL was never a great weapon. It's duration is usually somewhere around 8 seconds (compared to 16 sec. on firebomb). By the time my Mortar would hit the frost would almost be gone anyway. I ran it because I thought I could help support my team, and it gave me something to do in the initial mortar and torpedo storm in the beginning of every match.
    My idea for Frost is to keep it as a support weapon. It slows enemies, but removes flame from friendlies (fire extinguisher kinda thing). If Frost needed a nerf (which it didn't), then Flame needs a counter. This could be it.
