VIP Issues

I was super pumped to get VIP. It said +50% bonus ad free. I took this to mean an additional 50% to the bonus I was already getting and ad free on top of that. Boy was I disappointed when it was the normal bonus but ad free. Very misleading wording. Should simply say “ad free bonus rewards”. I won’t pursue a refund because the game is still awesome and $10 to say thanks is worth that at least. Recurring subscription is definitely not worth it due to the lack of increased rewards. Saving 30 secs would be worth more if I played long stretches. This is a mobile game and I usually play one or two and get off. Not a big win for my play style. For others, I can see where it would be a big win. The other rewards are not worth it. The first ten minutes of VIP chat was homophobic slurs and insults. Not a value add.

I followed the instructions to cancel the subscription and there is nothing under iTunes and App Store to cancel the subscription. Where do I go to cancel this subscription? I am on an iPhone 6 with the latest iOS.

 

For very active players, you can cut out 2 hours/month of watching ads which is probably worth it, and +20% training speed is nice. However VIP is still a little underwhelming for the price.

 

For anyone wondering, I was able to cancel by going to the apple support page and searching for subscriptions. From there it has a link to open the itunes store on my computer which listed the subscriptions. I was able to manage from there.

If the bonus is ever increased to match the advertisement, I may resubscribe. Until then, back to ad watching for me once my VIP expires.

 

Saves you 30s times the frequency you play. In addition to vip chat there is also the extra 1 quest in the rivalries. And dont forget faster crew training time.
