How bout this...

Yesterday I evolved an item, had 2 duplicates but 1 of them had a rare damage perk, went ahead and evolved to the surprise that the game chose the one with the perk, no usual warning window like when you scrap a loaded or leveled up item, just went ahead and stole my perk, it would be nice if 1-) You either get the gold value of the perk involved. 2-) Or get your perk back. 3-) Or maybe the one, the no brainer would be to take the Item of lesser value (the one with no perks).
Personally I would like the hard earned perk to go back in my Silo, I doubt I would get it back but the way is setup could be improved.

 

It's your job to remove the perk before evaluation.

 

I had the same problem, a rare turbo with a rare perk in other ship and a rare turbo in my inventory. When evolved the one in my ship, it used the one with the rare perk.
Luckly I won the same perk from raffle.
Would kill myself if it were an epic perk for mortar..

Although this never has been a problem for me,seen many players do this mistake

 

Common sense.

When you evolve 2 tier 1 epic items loaded with 2 perks each, do you expect to have 4 perks with your 3 perk slots? No.

 

You don’t get any warnings when evolving, also you can’t choose which one should be picked, the game does it by itself...like I said, this can be fixed, there’s room for improvement on this regard. Also there has to be a way to contact Rovio in game, couldn’t find any links to send a ticket

Seems everyone sell "useless" perks as soon as they earn one but people like me save them to sell when you really need the gold.

 

Actually, there is a warning. You can see the item that it’s going to use in the required resources list (next to the evolve button), and if the item has a perk attached, the perk will be visible there.

To make it select a different item you can switch the order in your inventory, or mount the perked item on one of your ships (then it will prioritise inventory items instead).
