You cannot really set it up in a different way now, it's the same, but a lot harder to do. If you use frost blaster, there is a high chance someone else will shoot them before your torpedo. It's almost unusable now :(

Way I see it(as a torpedo only user) is to find a solo target, walk from front flank where his team is, shoot someone with a cannon(1), go behind cover as the enemy team go es to hunt you down while calling shots on them(2,3), then run into the target's blind spot , fire frost, and since your team will be shooting at the entirety of the enemy team, fire torp without being disturbed(4).(see tactical diagram)

Fire torpedo first, then frost your target just before impact.

Damage is still reduced overall though.

Frost launcher is even worse since you use it at longer ranges on groups of unfriendlies.

They just keep nerfing yellow items in a game thats already heavily shooter sniper biased, its beyond comprehension.

Yes its annoying being frosted or tesla bolted, it creates anxiety and frustration which is why shooters constantly complain about it, as opposed to a weapon that just does damage and you accept it. Using yellow items requires higher skill and strategic implementation, I just dont get why the devs are so set on punishing that.

This actually is pretty difficult to master,Since you slow down an opponent on first place to hit torp accurately.Bunta did this in one of his,Looked promising

Yeah I saw that video but that is very very hard I tried doing it in few battles but I was blasted to hell in half the battles in remaining half 50% times blaster was interpreted by waves rest were merely by luck and not my skill to be honest.

So true. When I first tried out Tesla Bolt, on my mk1 I thought it sucked so hard — stun someone for ~4 seconds, and you can’t event shoot them during that time or it goes away. While shooters get an extra Blast Cannon to wreck people with!

But yellow items is all you’ve got, so you make do, try to play tactically and find a use for them. It’s not easy, and I’m sure a lot of people just give up and go back to shooter.

So you train them up, get good with them, and you’re actually able to compensate for your lack of firepower.

Then people start crying! “Waaah! That’s too easy to kill me with” ... no! no it’s not, having 5 guns is too easy. Trying to make use of something that doesn’t even damage people, because you don’t have enough guns is hard.
