Is Carronade Any Good?

So... I have a rare Carronade and I was wondering if it was any good. I run a mark 2 speeder with nitro, Overboost and standard shield. I currently use my rare cannon as my weapon but I was wondering if my rare Carronade was any good. I have looked through and saw that Swift can get you more projectiles (I have 5 now) so maybe Carronade is better? Or is it worse because of it's low range.

Nah, stick to using your Cannon. Carronade's too hard to use. But I'm not the best source in the world, so wait for more replies to come.

 

It works best with Speeder and it really starts to get good when you get all the talents for it. Without them, it isn't that impressive.

 

Carronade, once you get Swift upgraded several levels, can be freaking amazing on a speeder. They have slowing effects to both overall speed and to the turret. Plus, you can increase the number of projectiles up to 7. So you can sneak in quick, pop off a shot or two with it's 5.6 second cooldown, and be out of there before they even have a chance to turn their turret. Combined with a swift torpedo, that slowing effect is deadly.

I run a mark 2 speeder with level 10 carronade with 5 projectiles and nitro + frost blaster and epic standard shield. Works really well. I slow them (unfriends) down with the frost blaster and tear them apart with the carronade. Nitro is perfect for getting out of harm's way and the shield gives me quite a bit of health.

High level speeders & enforcers can bring some serious pain with Cannonade.

 

no it does not have a good range!
