Balanced matchmaking ay

It would help if we could have a look at your items.

Items are often more important than ship mk. When I was still in my mk4, I ended up getting matched against pretty much all mk5s. But a lot of the time I was actually carrying more hp and firepower, because of my equipment.

If you’re running all uncommons and t1 rares on you mk7, then it’s gonna be one of the worst ships in the game, because of the reduced speed and agility.

 

Is this what you’re asking for? I’ve spent across the board... My skill doesn’t match yet.

 

Thanks, my problem is that I’m going against players with infamy levels 3000 to just under 5000. It doesn’t give me much opportunity to learn

 

Everyone wanted ship based matchmaking. Here it is.
Of course mk5 playes in Ace league are leagues (pun intended) better than mk5 playes in warrior league (not counting myself because I'm a noob) but now they all get to play in same team. Horray.

We have no one but ourselves to blame.

 

I see your load out selection is quite good

RAILGUN--- shooters choice weapon
Gear lube ----to compliment TORPS(NICE!!!)

However,you need more cannons in load out(SINCE YOU DON'T HAVE EXPERIENCE YET)
So you try replacing weaker Torp with Sniper/exp

●Sniper and railgun make a shooter--make sure that you have them equipped
●Missiles can replace ball park too if you equip sniper

What is the highest infamy you have achieved since playing?

 

You have a lot of difficult to use weapons. I don’t play shooter, so I’m not the best person to give you recommendations, but I would consider shelving the Big Torps and Railgun, and trying out some faster weapons that are a bit easier to hit with. And maybe ditch the gearlube for a second shield.

 

Can someone tell me what ace 1 matches past 3500 look like? Is it still 80% nightmare and 20% ace? I can't tell because I'm locked out.

 

Just use different ship, unless your ship all already mk7.

 

Well despite developers' countless comments about how infamy based MM is the fairest it can get, Everyone was so hellbent on bashing infamy match making. This was going to happen eventually. It's not ab odd choice. They were forced to do it.

 

Clients usually have no idea what the actually want. Typical business scenario. Hence we have this thread.

I don’t see a huge problem here. I was up around 1700 in my mk4, and I certainly wouldn’t have been happy to run into a 8k mk7 with t5 Epics. That ship would be so unfair at 1700.

Also... we don’t even know that X... is struggling. He obviously feels that he can’t win a game, but then everyone feels like that. Yesterday, I was 1 game away from my highest ever infamy, and then proceeded to lose 9 games in a row.

It’s not like he’s being matched against other mk7s. If he’s feeling like the game sucks and he can’t catch a break, then that might just mean he’s exactly where he’s supposed to be, because that is ‘apparently’ what the game is supposed to feel like...

 

Aside from playing to practice and achieve higher inf, you also just need to play enough to let your infamy balance out, you lose some you win some that happens for everyone, it may take some time but you should level off clearing 3k. Good luck happy boating!

 

Ya, this new match-making has been a total flop if you ask me. At 1600 I still see 90% mk5's, all the mk4's have t4 crap. Every match is now either a 5-0/5-1 win or loss, it's not fun to play anymore
