I am interested in what people think about this topic.
    The question:

In addition to speed which helps you avoid getting hit. Does more agility also help you dodge hits?

Yes! You can take immediate right or left turn in middle of onslaut or for overhead hell like bertas and screaming torpedoes. Only speed will just propelle you in their path but agility will help you change the path immediately to avoid shots.

Yeah, I absolutely loved using a rudder. You can also make really sharp turns to stay behind turrets.

Unfortunately, shield and turbo are still too important to drop for it. Even though it was a joy to use, I just can’t afford to lose that much hp or speed.

Agility is awesome. I used a rudder like training wheels, it's great.

Especially on a speeder high agality is a must. If i use a big torp i often freeze ships, go right through them, turn and torp them, but also for other ships it's nice to have.

It is obvious that more agility will help you dodge more shots but if you ask me it isn't worth equipping a rudder for, on my speeder or enforcer I have a nitro... that's good enough for me... some people use overboost but it has a constant speed so skilled shooters will have an easier shot once you activate it. Dodging shots is a skill and it takes practice, i'm trying to learn to dodge shots effectively and with practice you'll find a rudder is unnecessary.

I miss most of my shots because the enemy is moving away or towards me. Leading shots doesnt help with that. You have to lead on both x and y axis. Its so difficult which is why a rudder would help alot i think

Comes with experience. I’d think you’d be a pro at it by now only having one weapon to learn.

I know this is off topic here but man you are really turning out to be good forum member helping everyone here and there.
    That's quite cool:)
Edit: thankyou all of you I was thinking about using rudder but had my reservations now I will use it in future.

It does but not enough. Never enough to out-do the use of a bandage/turbo

I wish there comes a mechanic or any change in ships so we can use rudders and lubes.

I'm not sure if you do this or not but you'd be surprised how many people don't realize but if you hold the aiming circle down it zooms in to your target... it helps me aim whether my opponent is moving towards me, away from me and sideways...

manual aiming is the worst thing ever, i missed point blank shots because of it. The easiest way to aim is to use the auto target and slightly lead your shot.
