Infamy Droppers!

Hey there,
This season the infamy drop is in full swing!
Mk4 and Mk5 ships can be found around 400 infamy!
It's really difficult for low-level ships to score and survive, I have barely managed to keep up with my infamy as a Mk3!
By the time you get into the capture zone.... either your team-mate finishes the opponent or the opponent finishes you!
Mk5 vs Mk3 doesn't sound fair to me.

 

Tell me about it i am testing out my mk3 speeder but i get cut down by mk4 and mk5 ships. I have not even been in match where there is only mk3s. My infamy as mk4 shooter should be around 1200,1300 but as speeder mk3 i am stuck at 650 due to these harder ships. I dropped as my mk2 speeder obviously gets screwed at 1200 infamy so i have been steadily decreasing. I will get back up when i get a better turbo and a mk4 speder.

 

I too am struggling with infamy and quests, because the mk4 and mk5 ships are dominating the waters.

 

The mk4 speeder, enforcers,fixers ships i can handle but then the mk5 shooter ships have 5 weapons slots with 7 points while i have 2 weapon slots with two points. My death is predicted before i even start.

 

This exactly. This is the reason why I had very slow progression from the get go.

At higher infamy levels, you get better rewards right? well if you’re stuck at 400-800 infamy it turns into a vicious cycle that usually makes most players quit the game

>get overpowered by mk4’s and 5’s with powerful guns
>get stuck at lower leagues
>recieve poor rewards, making it difficult to upgrade weapons and level up captains
>continue to get overpowered due to slowed progression
>repeat

it makes progressing VERY slow and painful.

 

Yes even with my mk4 shooter it would be quite hard to get out of this vicious cycle.

 

I reckon MK4 is when you start to get the better upgrades/captain unlocks making it easier to progress further.

to be completely honest, no matter where you are, there will always be someone with a higher tier ship than you or legendary items
I guess just keep playing and you’ll get there eventually

Haha mk4s at 400 infamy? I'm an mk4 myself and I'm 2400+ lol. (0$ spent)
I never play with or against another mk4 unless they are playing for the guild quest. I play with mk5s 95% of the time, with mk6s thrown in there. So I understand you lol

 

I always thought there should be a barrier depending on ship level devs should determine what it should be so that mk5 do not get matched with mk3 and all.

 

That won't work and we would get no matches at all! We have to live with it!

 

MK5 at 400 is even worse , and being in the same team is worst.

 

I found one again! Its great he had weak weapons! I had a chance to score!

Check out this match making.. all mk5 vs 4 mk6.. So unfair

 

Lol your weapons are so much better than mine, maybe that is why you are so much higher lol. But in the lower infamies my mk4 weapons do 5000 damage plus regularly eventhough most my weapons are only tier 1. My speeder only does 2000 , this is why i am at 650.

 

Still seems impossible. But will keep trying. Not going to spend any money. Have had great luck with epics but almost impossible to upgrade.

 

infamy tankers already get thier rewards reduced. Perhaps that could be extended to thier ship stats too. So for example if you drop 800 below your best, then you get a 25% weapon and hp reduction.

 

I made a post about the game matching low level mk's vs high level mk's. Apparently it's fair and balanced to have no chance of winning whatsoever

 

It is pretty damn bad right now. My mate is mk1 and at ~120 infamy he is versing mk3 ships... Up until ~90 infamy you are vsing bots... so you go from versing bots to vsing mk3s straight away. That's just insane.. It's like a brand new character in WoW being dropped into a raid...
