I just cant believe that not only are the guild quest 1st board loophole exploiters being punished, but all those who didnt join in are being rewarded.

Amazing job from them for once. Now I just can't wait for the cheaters to come crying on the forums or make essays about how it isn't fair and why they got "forced" to do it.

 

The standard argument is that it was a "victimless offence". What the devs have recognised is that all those who resisted (and we were tempted!) were the actual victims.

I love the guild quest update. It's brought my guild together and at the same time has forced generalisation rather than specialisation (why did I scrap those rare trip torps a month ago?!?).

Supporting integrity so strongly will be the making of this game imo

 

They already are! It's pretty funny to read people complain about how it's not their fault they cheated and are being punished for it. It's not even really being punished. They took what they shouldn't, and now they have to give it back. At least the devs aren't taking back more or suspending (as far as I know) these players.

 

They are doing rollbacks to those who exploited most, meaning they lose everything they gained during a certain period of time, not just the things obtained through exploiting. So they are taking back more.

 

For real. I'm surprised as I never expected a response this tough. Companies usually don't punish cheaters enough but I'm glad they did this time. The bonus for those who didnt abuse it is also nice. Its awesome to know that the people who have been working hard in the guild im in that spend time trying to clear every single board are appreciated. Lesson learned here? Don't abuse exploits in a Rovio game. I think that's well worth the cost of a few loud people complaining that they got caught.

Yes devs tysm! I love it all. I got 3 leg parts yday and all I pay for is vip. Made it so much easier to get stuff. Weapons improving from all the rare and epic perks I'm winning I could never find! Pearls everything. I say 3 gold stars

Not only for rewarding the fair players..but the best bit IS punishing those who have NO IDEA what MORALS are.
Yep..they've wasted all that time and effort exploiting the game "thinking" they were being smart..now..many will probably quit the game. Even more good news IMO..the less cheats the better..maybe they can go and hack Minecraft or whatever.

So to ANY tempted to exploit this game..take a few seconds and think about it..is it REALLY going to be worth it?.

Also..lesson learned by the Devs hopefully..think through ALL possibilities of how CHEATS would find exploits BEFORE releasing new content. I'd rather wait a week or 2 more for polished watertight content..than have to go through this again.

So..thx Devs for the 42k tokens.

And yes..I AM LAUGHING SO HARD AT ALL YOU WHO USED THE EXPLOIT.

 

It's a nice precedent, now everyone clearly knows that stuff like this is not acceptable at all - which I'm very happy for - good for the future.
I'm also very happy for the fact that the playing field is levelled again, inflation of all epic perks and legendaries hurt the game for the non-exploiters.
Though, the punishment seems severe, I hear even small time exploiters got several hundred k of token debt, I really hope people don't quit over it.

This is the issue I have with it. They even took back tokens that were earned honestly, which I personally don't think is fair.

 

they even took over 70k of my tokens, these tokens are from the guild quest reset.

 

Yes, I'm starting to love this game more and more!

 

"Oh no, they took my tokens, of which I had way more than I ever should've in the first place! Woe is me! I'm the victim!"

Tokens that were earned 'honestly' using items from tokens that weren't. It's perfectly fair. People who didn't exploit aren't having issues.

 

I'm talking about the tokens earned before the cheating started. Not everyone started cheating from the beginning.

 

they were tokens earned after the guild quest reset not before i had maybe under 3k tokens left after the exploit farming. that 70k token were earned from wednesday upto the rollback. but i don't care much of it now as i wouldn't be needing it.

to those staying, have fun on the wait times for a match up
