That's exactly what I tried to say earlier. If it looks like something is extremely hard to get and you have money, it is ok to pay for example $1000 to get it. But if you find out some days later the others get the same thing by playing some games, it is worth of $10. I don't think there is players who wouldn't feel they have been cheated in that situation.

And I underline I have not used loads of money in this game. I am a f2p-guy with rare loadout but I still think they payers must get something for their money.

Give them time to figure out how they want to deal with this. It's a slippery slope due to the widespread abuse. Remember there were no specific rules regarding the guild quests. So they have to figure this out. No reason for them to talk about it until they formulated a way to deal with it.

Right, there should be a cool down time when changing guilds, that you can't participate for a certain amount of time after joining the new guild.

They don't need time to answer the question on wether or not it's exploiting and if action may or may not get taken.

Right now, if the a dev confirmed that Rovio believe it is a breach of the TOS and they may take any action necessary against players who have taken part in it, you can be damned sure the guild hopping would stop.

Remember. If there is even the smallest loophole, people will find ways to exploit it. I don't know why they do so, but I also believe that fair play should exist. P2W players are people I respect. They let Rovio go on more and more ambitious projects. But repeatedly slamming Rovio on the issue of exploits is questionable.
"7 pages no conclusive answer to the bug. Gg community..." Is equally valid. If we cannot decide, imagine how much heat they must be facing. Also, I'm not singling you out. No offence, love(no homo).

Aye, I get why they are silent till they have a solution (although late monday it should be possible to say "dont do this we will try to punish cheaters" or "hurry up and cheat also, we are letting the cheaters off the Hook"). But sure, once just one of them reply here they are locked into doing what he comments.
    ---
I dont see this as a grey area though, none of the people abusing this loophole expect it to last (i.e. be working as intended). They know they are exploiting a flaw in the patch to gain an unfair advantage. Its cheating, plain and simple.

I think you coined it brilliantly in your first post "just because you can, doesnt mean you should".

Now imagine if they decide to let the exploiters keep the benefit they gained from cheating. I can assure you that everyone will be jumping on the cheatwagon instantly next time the opportunity arrises. I cannot fathom any other scenario than hefty consequences to people that actively abuse their game.

Oh, that would hurt Rovio bad. Rerolls, too. Some options are too messy, like banning some cheaters. I see one way to do it.

Compute the number of points to do all five boards plus rewards PLUS all five boards in the current season. Heavy exploiters WILL have gone past that limit. Cut them off. Like, perm ban or reroll them to pre update.
Anything wrong here? Comment below please, lets try to reach conclusions here

Meh, I don't mind much. Chances are you'll get exploiters on your team too. So it'll balance it out. Epic perks aren't that significantly better than rare ones so I don't really care about some +2.5% increase.
Yes, ships stacked with all epic perks are more powerful but they're still killable. I'd love to have a ship full of epic perks too but that's far far away and I don't think I'll be around for that long.
I'm fine with Devs letting them keep their stuff to prevent the sour taste of things being taken away from players because they still grinded for it even though it was a bit easier.
Just fix it asap. More you delay the more you'll be forced to punish exploiters. We can let go for a week or two worth of advantage but if it goes on for months, then everyone still playing the game fairly will just feel stupid for not exploiting early enough.

I've hated the progression system and economy from the beginning, so it getting screwed doesn't bother me. What does bother me is that this has taken other issues and blown them up in ways I'm not sure can be fixed anymore. The primary issue for me being New Players Facing High Level Opponents:

New players installing the game can barely rise above 200 without seeing Mk 3s, 4s, or even 5s. That's unsustainable and demoralizing, yet nothing has been done to alleviate it at all. Most of this problem has been totally ignored by the devs and by the community, and now hoppers are skewing the rankings at a much faster rate. A lot of guilds are recruiting newer players right now just because they have a much easier time completing some of the guild quests, but new players are also very likely to go inactive for obvious reasons. Newbies have gone from being treated as collateral to be used as objects and, like before, no one seems to care. Someone at Rovio needs to eventually see that the way they have Infamy set up is killing the game, not to mention ruining the spirit of their new guild system just as much as hoppers are. These are real people who want to enjoy the game, they shouldn't be left with a choice of Pay, Cheat, or Uninstall.

I think Rovio has to look at this as how to keep EVERYONE happy. There are no good options for them at this point.
    1. They will not roll back the game, there are WAY too many players playing an honest game that have actually spent money over the last week, they might be in a guild but don't keep up with chat or forums. This will not be an option to mess up all those players' builds.
    2. Banning the cheaters. This is again a BAD option. Rovio left the loophole open for too long. The cheaters are still players that could be spending money on the game, and to ban a huge group of people is not good P.R., even if they deserve it.
    3. Do nothing but fix the loophole. This would be really bad for the game's morale, they can't do this either.
    3. Fix the loophole immediately and find a way to give all players in the game who haven't changed guilds more than once or twice a raffle token bonus. Not sure if their server keeps track of how many people change guilds. Not sure how many raffle tokens would be a fair amount. But it would need to be enough to get some Legendary rolls. This option in my view s the least-worst path for Rovio.

Here's my 2 gold on the ideal prevention measure.

The game already keeps track of how many quests you've cleared overall. So once you've cleared 12 quests, Board 1 quests no longer give you rewards for the remainder of the guild season. Perhaps you could still win the "bonus tokens" that you earn from contribution to a quest, so you can still benefit a little from helping out another guild. But you wouldn't get the big chunk of tokens. Ditto for clearing the entire board - once you've collected the 12K Board 1 reward, you don't get it again until next season.

EDIT: The best thing is that non-hoppers wouldn't even feel the difference! Cool! 100/100!

I disagree, the best option is to target the cheaters. A rollback doesn't need to be game wide, they could target the cheaters and leave everyone else's stuff intact. At least, other games have done so. We don't know how Rovio stores player data, of course. But I really hope something will be done targeting the cheaters, it's the only proper way out of this mess. And it would be perfectly good PR if they managed. Banning cheaters in a competitive game is never bad for PR.
