Would it be possible to have a bit more clarity between the living/dead ship icons at the top of the screen?

When ships die they turn black with a red strike, but many shooters are also black and red, so it can be hard to see, at a glance, who is still in the game.

I've noticed this happening quite a lot. I'll glance up at the icons, and mistake a shooter for a dead ship. It doesn't help that the dead ship icons are already slightly different from each other, so having another red-black icon (which is also slightly different) kind of blends in.

    1. Shooters are red+white
    2. Bright red/yellow/blue/green to black is a pretty big difference, turn your brightness up.

The mk5+ shooters have all red fronts with very little white, and they have a lot of dark/black around the engines.

Yes, yellow, blue and green are certainly different; unfortunatly, however, 80% of the ships I encounter are red, which is why red is possibly the worst choice for the dead ship icon.

There is nothing wrong with my brightness. I made the suggestion because the icons are objectively similar, they don’t need to be, and it does cause me problems.

Maybe it hasn’t bothered you yet, but that might just be because you always die first :p
