What is the "Team Player" award?

    What is the Team Player badge awarded for? It says "Your teammate was destroyed by a area damage shot that hit you directly." That is not true. I got this badge when I got killed when I was the last player alive. It was not possible for a teammate to be destroyed since there were no other teammates. This has happened to me several times.

    And BTW, this should read "..destroyed by an area damage shot.." Doesn't anyone ever proofread?

    That's not the badge I'm talking about. It is titled "Team Player." Just like the subject of this post, "What is the 'Team Player' award?" So I was asking about the "Team Player" award. So answers to this question would be about why the "Team Player" award is awarded. Notice that this picture of the Team Player award contains the words Team Player. So this is an explanation of the Team Player award. Unfortunately, this explanation is wrong, this is not the reason the Team Player award is awarded. There must be some other reason the Team Player award is awarded.

    It's when a team mate gets killed by splash damage from a hit you took.

    Anyone read the "solo kill" award? I forgot to.

    No it isn't. Didn't you read my message? I got this award when I was the last ship alive and got killed. There were no other teammates who could be killed. That means no teammates could be killed by splash damage. They were already dead. So they could not be killed again by splash damage. The award for a teammate being killed by splash damage was not awarded because my teammate was killed by splash damage. I got an award when no other teammate was alive. They could not be killed by splash damage because they were already dead.

    Get it?

    Please read the question before answering.
