Standard Mortar?

I'm at 1500 infamy and have only one guy trained to L4... but I have accumulated 5 "rare" standard mortars (and 1 "epic"). As far as I can tell this is one of the worst mortar options, but having 5 of anything "rare" is, well, so unusual that it is very tempting to consider utilizing it. However, as it's proving VERY expensive and time consuming level up and evolve "rare" items as it is, an I fear that by the time I can get it upgraded to even L4, that mortars as a whole will start to become less useful overall, and I would have wasted a lot of resources that could have been used on better weapons. Does anyone see any value value with utilizing it?

 

No don't use It. Lots of rares for something is useless if you don't actually want the weapon.

 

Standard mortar is without a doubt the worst mortar of them all. The damage is only good if you bullseye, other than that the damage drops tremendously. Not sure why it's that way, maybe to offset the very low cooldown. I'd suggest scrapping them all but it's up to you.

Even have a friend who has a tier 2 and a tier 1 legendary st mortar and he was thinking of scrapping them. Lol

Standard Mortar is the least used weapon in Nightmare league, and for good reason. Keep them for completing guild quests though, not many will have an evolved Standard Cannon

 

Ugh... good point as the guild quests add a wrinkle to it. Considering how difficult it is to find and level up "rare" items, maybe I keep the T10 "rare" and toss all other standard mortars including the "epic", which is likely an order of magnitude more difficult to level up.

I notice that most players don't keep many weapons varieties around, maybe guild quests will curb that behavior.
